NAD L55 User Manual

Too often it seems that the industrial design has taken precedence over sound quality. With the introduction of the L55 DVD/CD Player, NAD now offers the level of performance associated with its highly acclaimed full-size separates in an elegant, compact design.
Features
The L55 DVD/CD Player relies much on the work done for the NAD T550 DVD/CD Player, which, although only recently introduced, is already winning accolades from inside and out of the industry.
Besides superb performance, the NAD L55 also offers a wide range of facilities such as Multi-Angle*; Multi-Sound*; Multi-Subtitle*; Frame; Zoom and Repeat. All these facilities can be easily accessed with the supplied remote control. Through the extensive yet intuitive On-Screen-Display you can change the various settings and parameters for optimum performance.
Even though it's intended to be partnered with the L75 Surround Sound Receiver, the L55 offers a range of different connection possibilities: The colour component video outputs Y, Cr, Cb (120V version; North America only) or the SCART RGB output (230V version) provide the best connection possible to the latest High-End video monitors and projectors.
Component Video Output and RGB outputs provide better video quality compared to the traditional RCA Video Composite or even S-Video, also present on the L55. Both optical and coaxial digital outputs are available to transfer Dolby Digital, DTS or CD digital signals to a component with builtin decoding, such as the cosmetically and technically NAD AV Receiver L75.
The L55 is stunning cosmetically and performance-wise. Superb as an individual component, the end result becomes larger than just the sum of the parts. Performance no longer needs to be compromised for elegance.
