Washing & Drying Safety Precautions
Please familiarize yourself with the following safety precautions and remember to follow them whenever you use the washer.
• Follow the instructions provided by the manufacturers of the detergent and fabric softener of your choosing and do not fill neither the detergent drawer nor the fabric-softener drawer beyond their respective MAX levels.
• Remove lighters, matches, and other inflammable objects from pockets of clothes before washing them.
• Do not unplug the washer's power cord while it is in operation.
Unplugging the power cord during the Wash or
Dry course and reconnecting the power cord can cause an electric shock, fire, malfunction, and/or injury.
• Do not attempt to force the door open while the washer is in operation.
Forcing the door open during the Wash or Dry
course can lead to an injury and/or malfunction.
• If you must open the door while the washer is in operation, you must first drain all the water from inside the washer.
Ensure that there is no hot water left inside the
washer. Otherwise, opening the door may result in a product damage, product malfunction, and/or injury.
• Unsupervised or uninstructed individuals, individuals with a physical, sensory, or mental disability, inexperienced or unknowing individuals, and children under the age of 3 must not operate the washer.
• Do not allow small children below the age of 3 to be near the washer or to operate the washer without constant adult supervision.
• If using industrial-grade chemicals to do laundry, do not use the washer's Dry course. May result in a fire.
• Remove lint and fluff from inside the washer as often as possible. Ensure that the inside the washer and the surrounding area are free of lint, fluff, and residue. May result in a product malfunction and/or injury.
• With articles covered or soaked in cooking oil, acetone, alcohol, gasoline, kerosene, stain remover, turpentine oil, or wax, make sure to wash them using a detergent and hot water before drying them in the washer.
• Do not use the washer's Dry cycle to dry foam rubber (latex), shower caps, waterproof or waterresistant fabric, rubber products, or pillows or clothes with foam-rubber padding.
Make sure to read the user manual and all the safety precautions before using the washer and to operate the washer with caution.

Washing & Drying Safety Precautions
Fire Hazard
Items that have been exposed to oil can catch fire when using the Dry course. Do not place inflammable items inside the washer. The high-temperature inside the washer can cause inflammable items such as lighters, oils, and matches to catch fire.
The temperature inside the washer can become hot enough to cause items to ignite. Storing oils and other inflammable and ignitable items on or near the washer can lead to a fire.
Before placing items made out of a fabric that contains vegetable or cooking oil or items that are contaminated with haircare products inside the washer, make sure to wash them with detergent and hot water first.
Above information is intended to reduce the risk of a fire and/or injury. While
washing such items before placing them in the washer does reduce the risk of a fire and/or injury, it does not guarantee the prevention of a fire. Refrain from placing items covered or soaked in vegetable or cooking oil or items that have been contaminated with haircare products inside the washer whenever possible.
Warning: Do not forcibly open the drum door or abruptly suspend the washer's
operation before the Dry course is completed. Once the Dry course is completed, do not leave the laundry load inside the washer. Take out the load and untangle the individual items to allow the heat to dissipate and reduce the risk of a fire.

Getting Ready
Caution:
This product uses cold water only. Do not connect the water hose to a hot-water source.
Connect the drainage hose to the drain.
Make sure the drainage hose has been included with your washer.
A small amount of water may escape from the drainage hose when installing the
washer or using it for the first time. This is water leftover from performance testing at the factory and does not represent a malfunction or defect of the product.
Recommended length of the drainage hose is 98.4in (2.5m).
1
Connect the water hose and open the tap.
Make sure there is no leak anywhere along the water hose.
Open the tap even when using the Dry course only. The washer uses water
for cooling and dehumidification purposes and will not be able to dry the items inside unless the tap is open.
Recommended length of the water hose is 78.7in (2.0m).
Recommended water pressure is 294.2kPa (3.0kgf/cm²).
2
Plug in the power cord.
Make sure the product is grounded to prevent electric shocks.

Preparing Laundry for Washing
Do not use the washer to wash, rinse, spin-dry, or dry waterproof or waterresistant mats, sheets, or clothes, hard and thick items like doormats and blankets, or items made out of a fabric water cannot easily pass through.
May result in abnormal vibration that in turn causes damage to the washer, the
wall, the floor, or the clothes and/or an injury.
Brush off dirt and sand.
This is to prevent product malfunction.
Make sure to remove coins, hair pins, curtain hooks, and clips.
May damage the clothes or the product itself and/or cause the product to
malfunction.
May also block the drainage hose and cause the product to malfunction.
Check the care labels of the clothes you intend to wash.
Follow the instructions found on the care labels. In particular, remember to
separate whites and colors.
Flip clothes with loose threads or fluff inside out before washing them. Divide laundry loads by fabric types (cotton, denim, synthetic, etc.).
Washing different types of fabric at the same time can damage your clothes.
With partially soiled or stained clothes, wash them by hand first before adding them to the washer.
Use a stain remover or spot bleach.
Tie strings together and close all zippers.
May damage the clothes and/or the product.
Refrain from washing thick clothes or oversized items. (jeans, bathrobes, bathmats, thick sportswear, etc.)
The items can cause a weight imbalance inside the drum and cause the washer
to vibrate abnormally during the Spin course.

Adding Detergent and Fabric Softener
Adding Detergent
Add an appropriate amount of detergent into the detergent drawer without exceeding
the MAX level.
Wait! Read this before adding the detergent.
- Do not add detergent to the detergent drawer more than once per wash.
For smaller laundry loads, filling the detergent and fabric-softener drawers halfway up to the MAX levels is sufficient.
- If detergent gets on the door, the control panel, or any other plastic part of the washer, wipe it off right away. If left alone, the
detergent can cause damage.
- Using too much detergent can cause the following problems:
An excessive amount of suds is formed, resulting in much longer or even incomplete rinsing and/or spinning of the laundry load.
Even if rinsing is completed, some of the detergent may still remain.
- The detergent drawer can become contaminated or covered in detergent residue. Remove and clean the drawer once a week
for cleaner results.
Caution
Open:
Pull the detergent and fabric-softener drawers towards you.
Close:
Push the drawers straight in until fully closed.
Adding Fabric Softener
Add an appropriate amount of fabric softener to the fabric-softener drawer.
The softener is automatically added to the drum during the final rinsing stage.
Do not add fabric softener and allow it to sit for an extended period of time (longer than 12 hours).
The softener can harden and fail to make its way inside the drum.
Appropriate Detergent and Fabric Softener Amounts
Use the recommended amount.
- Do not exceed the detergent drawer's MAX level.
- Do not exceed the fabric-softener drawer's MAX level.
Using Powdered Detergent
Must use a specially formulated powdered detergent for drum washers in amounts of no more than 0.35 oz (10g)
per wash. Add the detergent directly into the detergent drawer.
Do not use a powdered detergent if using the washer's timer feature. (Powdered detergent can damage the
clothes.)
(Use liquid detergents only. Do not use powdered detergents. May result in a leak and/or malfunction.)

These are the frequently asked questions about mini.
mini FAQs
A. A little bit of water may remain inside the water hose and/or the drum after finishing a wash.
If the weather is cold enough, this leftover water can freeze. If this happens, resolve the issue as follows:
- Wrap the water hose's connection points with a hot towel.
- Close the tap, disconnect the water hose, and submerge the hose in hot water (less than 50°C).
- Pour approximately 2ℓ of hot water (less than 50°C) into the drum and let it sit for about 10 minutes.
- Reconnect the water hose, open the tap, and verify that water is being fed into and discharged out of the washer.
* Caution: Do not use the washer if the water hose is frozen. May cause a malfunction.
Is it possible for the washer to freeze and break?
Q.
A. - It's possible to change the wash, rinse, and spin settings while the washer is in operation.
- Press the Start/Pause button
and make the changes.
How do I change the settings while the washer is in operation?
Q.
A. You can clean the drum using a commercially available drum detergent.
- Read the drum detergent's instructions carefully and follow those instructions.. Clean the drum as follows:
1. Add the drum detergent into the drum.
2. Select the Tub Clean course.
3. Press the Start/Pause button to commence the course.
How do I clean the drum?
Q.
A. mini features a compact and yet powerful inverter motor that makes it possible to wash, rinse, and spin just as well
as regular sized washing machines. What's more, the fact that the inverter motor does not have a brush means it is much quieter and smoother than motors found in conventional washing machines.
Does being a compact washer mean it will not perform as well?
Q.
A. The noise level of a normal conversation is about 60db. In comparison, the level of noise produced by mini is
only 42db. You don't have to worry about anyone noticing. mini features a low-noise, low-vibration motor and four dampeners so that you can do laundry day and night without disturbing anyone.
My husband and I both work and can only do the laundry at night. Will mini be too noisy to use at night?
Q.
Page 29
| 29 |
These are the frequently asked questions about mini.
mini FAQs
A. The most important criterion when designing mini was its installation. We borrowed ideas from wall-mounted TVs
and designed a system consisting of four anchor bolts inserted directly into the wall and lock nuts that securely hold the bolts in place. This setup makes it virtually impossible for the mini to fall off. Just one of these anchor bolts can support up to 700kg in weight, which means four of them can withstand nearly 3,000kg. We've also thoroughly tested and validated the safety of the product through numerous lab and field tests so that our customers can rest assured knowing they are in good hands.
How do you mount the washer on a wall? Is it safe and secure?
Q.
A. You don't have to worry. Once the washer is removed, the anchor bolts will be cut and the holes will be filled with
silicone to preserve the integrity of the wall and prevent cracks from forming.
We are moving soon. Won't removing the washer leave big holes in the wall?
Q.
A. You will be able to see the detergent and fabric-softener drawers right away after opening the drum door. The
drawers have indications to help you determine the right amount of detergent and fabric softener to use for the size of the load and have been designed for easy removal and cleaning.
How do I use the detergent and fabric-softener drawers?
Q.
A. Thanks to its compact size, mini can be installed in the bathroom, the kitchen, the multipurpose room, or just about
anywhere inside the house, just as long as there is access to a water source and a drain. You can mount the mini on any solid wall. The best walls are ones made out of concrete or bricks.
Where can I install the mini?
Q.
A. mini comes with a 5m water hose, a 3m drainage hose, and a 3m power cord by default. The hoses and the cord
are usually long enough for setting up the mini in a bathroom or a multipurpose room. In special cases, however, you may be required to purchase extensions.
What if the hoses and the cord that come with the washer aren't long enough?
Q.
Page 30

Follow the instructions below to keep your washer clean and working reliably for a long time.
Remember to unplug the power cord before cleaning the washer.
- May result in an electric shock and/or injury.
Do not spray water directly on the product.
- May result in short-circuiting and/or an electric shock.
Warning
Cleaning the detergent and fabric-softener drawer
Cleaning the drum
Cleaning the washer
Cleaning the drainage filter
Insert a finger into the hook at the front of
the drawer, pull the drawer out, and then clean it using water.
Never use a powdered detergent.
(May result in a malfunction and/or leak.)
Clean the areas indicated in the diagram.
Allowing contaminants and residue to build inside the
drawer or around its opening can cause the washer to malfunction.
Rust: Using water containing rust particles, washing metallic objects like hairpins, and filling the drum with water
and letting it sit for a long time are all causes of rust formation.
Rust Removal: Wipe the rust off using a piece of soft cloth or a sponge with a commercially available rust-
removal cream. Using a metallic scrubber will further damage the drum.
Detergent Residue: Prolonged use of the washer without cleaning and use of excessive amounts of detergent
cause dark and patchy detergent residue to form inside the drum. This residue can affect the wash quality and even end up staining clothes. Use the Tub Clean course to clean the inside of the drum.
Clean the product using a damp piece of cloth.
The drainage filter needs to be periodically removed and cleaned.
Unplug the power cord first and make sure the washer is turned off before removing and cleaning the filter.
Cleaning
Clean the bottom Clean the bottom
Clean along the edges Clean the rubber seal
-
Do not use household synthetic detergent, benzene, or
paint thinner to clean the product. Doing so will damage the plastic parts.
-
If using a chemical cleaning agent, follow all precautions
provided by the manufacturer.
Caution
-
Some water may leak out from the product. Have a container ready to catch the water and remove the cap filter.
-
Removing the filter while the washer is in operation may result in hot water spewing out and causing a burn. Please be careful.
Caution

[1] This odor may be caused by a buildup of debris and waste detergent inside the drain.
Remember to clean the drain regularly.
[2] Refer to error codes E5, E6, E7, and E8 and then contact your retailer or the service
center.
[3] Check to see if the water valve is open.
[1] There is a strange odor coming
from the drum.
[2] The washer suddenly stops while
washing is in progress.
[3] The drum will not fill with water.
[4] Could you have added too much detergent? If there is an excessive amount of suds, the
washer will automatically drain itself even during a wash.
[5] If the laundry load is not evenly distributed inside the drum, the washer will fill itself with
water to spread the load out and then drain the water back out.
[6] If the water pressure is too low, it takes longer for the drum to fill with water and
consequently longer for the washing to complete.
[4] The water drains in the middle of
a wash.
[5] The drum fills with water during
the spin cycle.
[6] It takes a long time to complete
a wash.
[7] Because drum washers use gravity to wash clothes, towels washed in one may come
out stiff.
If you want your towels soft, please use a fabric softener. [8] Make sure the power cord is securely connected to the product. [9] The remaining time goes up if the laundry load is distributed unevenly inside the drum.
[7] Towels come out stiff. [8] The washer makes a strange
noise during the spin cycle.
[9] The remaining time suddenly
goes up.
[10] The washer fills the drum with cold water and heats it to the configured temperature.
In winter, the remaining time may not change until the water heated to the configured temperature.
[11] The noise is caused by the electronic braking system and is not a malfunction.
[10] The remaining time doesn't
change.
[11] There is a weird noise at the end
of the spin cycle.
[12] One of the traits of a drum washer is its ability to do laundry using only a small amount
of water. You may not able to see the water level, but this is not a malfunction. Because drum washers soak items in water and tumble them into the air for washing and rinsing, they do not require a lot of water.
[12] The drum doesn't seem to be
filling with enough water during the wash or rinse cycle. (Lowwater level)
[13] The washer monitors the amount of water inside the drum and the status of the laundry
load and adds extra water into the drum when necessary. Possible causes are as follows:
- Additional items have been added to the load.
- The water level dropped below the threshold and needed to be replenished.
[13] The drum fills with water again
during the wash or rinse cycle.
[14] If an excessive amount of detergent has been used or there is a problem with the
drainage hose, the water might not drain properly from the drum. In this case, the drum will remain stationary or spin at a slow rate until the water has been fully drained and then begin spinning at its normal rate.
[14] A long time has passed since the
spin cycle started, but the drum hasn't moved or is spinning at a slow rate.
[15] The noises you hear are the washer using water to cool and dehumidify the
environment inside the drum. The ventilation fan is also turned on and makes noise during the dry cycle.
[16] Is the cold-water tap open? The washer uses water to cool and dehumidify and will not
be able to dry the items inside if the tap is closed. Could your laundry load be too big? Could you have connected the hot-water hose to the cold faucet?
[15] I hear water flowing and a
whirring noise during the dry cycle.
[16] Clothes don't feel completely
dry after going through the dry cycle.
