Hinweise zum Fahrzeug

Der MINI Cooper S mit John Cooper Works
GP Kit ist ein zweisitziges Kompaktfahr­zeug. Er verbindet Leichtbau, z.B. Fahr­werksteile aus Aluminium, mit Fahrdyna­mik. Bei der Entwicklung des Fahrzeugs
standen agile Fahreigenschaften und hohe
Fahrstabilität im Mittelpunkt.

Die Anbauteile schränken die Boden-

freiheit stark ein. Darauf achten, dass
ausreichend Bodenfreiheit vorhanden ist –
z.B. bei Tiefgarageneinfahrten, beim Über­fahren von Bordsteinkanten oder im Win­terbetrieb – sonst kann es zu Beschädigun­gen an den Anbauteilen kommen.<

und Beifahrer ausgestattet.

Beachten Sie die Hinweise zum Umgang
mit Sicherheitsgurten in der Betriebsanlei­tung zum MINI und MINI Cabrio.

Oberschenkelauflage* am Sportsitz

Sie haben an Ihrem Sitz die Möglichkeit die
Oberschenkelauflage einzustellen.

Hebel 1 ziehen und die Oberschenkel­auflage in Längsrichtung verschieben.

Weitere Sitzeinstellungen, siehe Be­triebsanleitung zum MINI und MINI Cabrio.

Leuchtweitenregulierung*

Einstellung:

bitte die folgenden Besonderheiten zum
sicheren Befördern von Kindern beachten.

Auch alle allgemeinen Hinweise zu

Kinder sicher befördern in der Be­triebsanleitung zum MINI und MINI Cabrio
beachten.<

Der richtige Platz für Kinder

Prinzipiell eignet sich der Beifahrersitz in
Ihrem MINI für die Montage von universel­len Kinderrückhaltesystemen aller Alters­klassen, die für die jeweilige Altersgruppe
genehmigt sind.

Unter der vorderen Laderaum-Bodenplatte
befinden sich zwei zusätzliche Ablagefä­cher.

DEUTSCH

Laderaumboden aufklappen

Laderaum-Bodenplatte anheben und nach
vorne schieben, siehe Pfeil.

Sollte es einmal notwendig sein, ein

Kinderrückhaltesystem auf dem Bei­fahrersitz zu verwenden, müssen die Bei­fahrerairbags deaktiviert sein, sonst be­steht beim Auslösen der Airbags ein
erhebliches Verletzungsrisiko.<

Das Warndreieck befindet sich unter der
Laderaum-Bodenplatte.

Ladung verstauen

>Schweres Ladegut möglichst weit vorn,

direkt hinter der Ladegutstange 1, und
unten unterbringen

>Nicht über die Ladegutstange stapeln.

und zum Tanken in der Betriebsanlei­tung zum MINI und MINI Cabrio beachten,
sonst kommt es zu dauerhaften Schäden
am Motor.<

>Der Motor Ihres Fahrzeugs ist ausgelegt

auf:
Super Plus, 98 ROZ.
Tanken Sie vorzugsweise dieses Benzin,
um die Nennwerte für Fahrleistungen
und Benzinverbrauch zu erfüllen.

>Sie können ebenfalls tanken:

Superbenzin bleifrei, 95 ROZ.
Dieses Benzin finden Sie auch unter den
Bezeichnungen DIN EN 228 oder Euro­super.

Fahrzeug anheben

Vor Anheben des Fahrzeugs die vorgesehe­nen Aufnahmen anbringen, um Beschädi­gungen am Seitenschweller zu vermeiden.

Die Aufnahmen sind dem Fahrzeug beige­legt. Diese bitte zum Werkstatttermin mit­nehmen.

Beim MINI COOPER S mit John Cooper
Works GP Kit gibt es keine Abdeckkappe.

Fahrzeugwäsche

Den MINI COOPER S mit John Cooper

Works GP Kit nicht in automatischen
Waschanlagen oder Waschstraßen wa­schen, sonst wird der Heckspoiler inkl.
Heckklappe beschädigt.
Dampfstrahler oder Hochdruckreiniger
nicht im Bereich der Seriennummer auf
dem Dach und der Heckspoileranbindung
an der Heckscheibe verwenden, sonst kön­nen Beschädigungen entstehen.<

Leichtmetallräder

Ihr MINI ist mit gewichtsreduzierten Leicht­metallrädern ausgerüstet. Diese mit MINI
Felgenreiniger-Gel pflegen. Zum ganzheitli­chen Entfernen von Bremsstaub erhalten
Sie bei Ihrem MINI Service eine spezielle
Reinigungsbürste mit verschiedenen Auf­sätzen.

Notes on the vehicle

The MINI Cooper S with John Cooper Works
GP Kit is a two-seated compact car. It com­bines lightweight construction, e.g. alumin­ium chassis components, with driving
dynamism. Vehicle design centred on agile
handling characteristics and high driving
stability.

The ground effects result in consider-

ably limited ground clearance. Ensure
sufficient ground clearance – e.g. when
driving in multistorey car parks, across
kerbs or in winter – otherwise the ground
effects may be damaged.<

Works GP Kit is equipped with seat belts for
the driver and passenger.

Observe the instructions on using seat
belts in the Owner's Handbook for the MINI
and MINI Convertible.

Thigh support* on the sport seat

On this seat you can adjust the thigh sup­port.

Pull arrow 1 and move the thigh support in
longitudinal direction.

As the car is not fitted with rear seats,
please note the following specifics on how
to transport children safely.

In addition, observe the general

instructions on child safety in the
Owner's Handbook for the MINI and MINI
Convertible.<

The proper location for children

In general, the passenger's seat is suitable
for the installation of universal child
restraint systems for all age groups, pro­vided these have been approved for the age
group in question.

Should it become necessary to use a

child restraint system on the passen­ger's seat, the passenger airbags must be
deactivated; otherwise there is a serious
risk of injury if the airbags are triggered
off.<

passenger airbags, see Owner's Handbook
for the MINI and MINI Convertible.

US models

The passenger seat in your car conforms to
the recommendations of norm SAE J1819
for securing child restraint systems in mo­tor vehicles.

Observe the instructions on loading

the vehicle in the Owner's Handbook
for the MINI and MINI Convertible, other­wise the car's operating safety may be at
risk and the construction and use regula­tions may be violated.
Do not carry any passengers in the luggage
compartment.<

Loading

>Place heavy loads as far forward as possi-

ble, directly behind the cargo bar 1, and
as low as possible

>Do not stack loads higher than the cargo

bar.

Observe all instructions on fuel speci-

fications and refuelling in the
Owner's Handbook for the MINI and MINI
Convertible, otherwise the engine will suf­fer permanent damage.<

>The engine of your car is designed to run

on:
Super Plus, 98 RON.
Fill up with fuel of this grade whenever
possible, so that the nominal perform­ance and fuel consumption values are
achieved.

>You can also run the engine on:

Premium-grade unleaded fuel, 95 RON.
Fuel of this grade is also sold under the

designations DIN EN 228 or Euro-Super.
US models:
>Super Premium Gasoline/AKI 91.

This gasoline is highly recommended.

However, you may also use gasoline with

less AKI. The minimum AKI Rating is 89.

If you use gasoline with this minimum

AKI Rating, the engine may produce

knocking sounds when starting at high

outside temperatures. This has no effect

on the engine life.

WHEEL-CHANGING CARE OF THE VEHICLE

Car wash

Do not put the MINI COOPER S with

John Cooper Works GP Kit through
any automatic car wash, otherwise the rear
spoiler and tailgate will be damaged.
Do not use a steam jet or high-pressure
washer to clean the roof area carrying the
serial number or the rear spoiler connec­tion to the rear window, otherwise damage
could occur.<

Jacking up the vehicle

Before jacking up the vehicle fit the corre­sponding supports, to avoid damage to the
side sill.

The supports are delivered with the vehicle.
Please bring them along to any workshop
appointment.

Tightening the wheel studs

Tightening torque: 140 Nm or 103 lb ft

Lockable wheel studs

On the MINI COOPER S with John Cooper
Works GP Kit, the wheel studs do not come
with cover caps.

Alloy wheels

Your MINI is fitted with low-weight alloy
wheels. Treat these with MINI wheel clean­ing gel. For comprehensive removal of
brake dust, your MINI Service offers a spe­cial cleaning brush with various tops.

tren de rodaje de aluminio, con una diná­mica de marcha. Al desarrollar el vehículo
fueron cualidades de marcha ágiles y una
alta estabilidad de marcha centro de inte­rés.

Las piezas adosadas limitan conside-

rablemente la altura libre sobre el

El lugar correcto para los niños

Regulación del alcance luminoso*

Ajuste:
0/1 = 1 persona sin equipaje
1/2 = 2 personas sin equipaje
2/2 = 2 personas con equipaje
2/2 = 1 persona, con carga elevada

El asiento del acompañante en su MINI está
en principio apropiado para el montaje de
sistemas de retención universales para
niños de todas las edades, que estén homo­logados para el correspondiente grupo de
edades.

Si alguna vez fuera necesario utilizar

un sistema de retención para niños
en el asiento del acompañante se deberán
desactivar los airbags en el lado del acom­pañante pues, de lo contrario, existe un
riesgo de lesiones considerable al activarse
el airbag.<

dos compartimientos portaobjetos adicio­nales.

Desbloquear

Girar el botón a una posición horizontal, ver

Rebatir el piso del compartimiento de
carga

Levantar el piso del compartimiento de
carga y desplazarlo hacia adelante, ver fle­cha.

El triángulo de emergencia se encuentra

Colocación de la carga

detrás de la barra del equipaje 1 y en la
posición más baja posible

>No apilar por encima de la barra del equi-

Tenga en cuenta todas las indicacio-

nes respecto a la calidad del combus­tible y para el repostaje en el Manual de
instrucciones del MINI y MINI Cabrio, en
caso contrario se producen daños irreversi­bles en el motor.<

>El motor de su vehículo está diseñado

Super Plus, 98 octanos Research.
Reposte Vd. preferentemente este tipo
de gasolina, para cumplir con los valores
nominales de prestaciones y consumo de
gasolina.

>También puede repostar:

Gasolina Súper sin plomo, 95 octanos
Research.
A esta gasolina, se la designa también
con DIN EN 228 ó Eurosuper.

Lavado del vehículo

No lavar el MINI COOPER S con John

Cooper Works GP Kit en lavados de
coche automáticos o en túneles de lavado,
en caso contrario se dañan el spoiler tra­sero incl. portón trasero.
No utilizar limpiadoras de vapor o limpia­dores a alta presión en la zona del número
de serie en el techo del alojamiento del
spoiler trasero de la luneta trasera, en caso
contrario se producen daños.<

Elevar el vehículo

Antes de elevar el vehículo montar los alo­jamientos previstos, para evitar daños en el
umbral lateral.

Los alojamientos van adjuntos al vehículo.
Llévalos por favor a la próxima visita al
taller.

Reapretar los tornillos de rueda

Par de apriete: 140 Nm

Protección antirrobo para tornillos de
rueda

En el MINI COOPER S con John Cooper
Works GP Kit no hay una tapa.

Llantas de aleación ligera

Su MINI está equipado con llantas de alea­ción ligera de poco peso. Cuidar estas con el
gel limpia llantas MINI. Para retirar por
completo el polvo de frenado obtendrá en
su Servicio Posventa MINI un cepillo de lim­pieza especial con diferentes elementos.

La MINI COOPER S con il kit GP John Cooper
Works è una vettura compatta a due posti
secchi. Essa coniuga lega leggera, ad es.
parti del telaio in alluminio, con la dina­mica di marcia. Al centro della progetta­zione della vettura erano caratteristiche di
agilità di marcia ed elevata stabilità di mar­cia.

Le parti applicate limitano forte-

mente la distanza dal suolo. Assicu­rarsi di avere una sufficiente distanza dal
suolo – ad es. nelle entrate ai parcheggi
sotterranei, nel passare sopra i bordi di
marciapiedi o in inverno – altrimenti
potrebbero rimanere danneggiate le parti

Il posto giusto per i bambini

In linea di principio il sedile passeggero
anteriore nella Sua MINI è adatto al mon­taggio di sistemi universali di ritenuta per
bambini di tutte le età, approvati per la
rispettiva fascia di età.

Sotto il pianale anteriore del vano bagagli
si trovano due vani portaoggetti supple­mentari.

Aprire il pianale ribaltandolo in alto

Sollevare il pianale del vano bagagli e spin­gerlo in avanti, vedi freccia.

Se per un qualsiasi motivi si rendesse

necessario utilizzare il sistema di
ritenzione per bambini sul sedile lato pas­seggero, gli airbag del lato passeggero
anteriore devono essere assolutamente
disattivati, altrimenti in caso di attivazione
degli airbag esiste un elevato rischio di
lesioni.<

Lavaggio della vettura

Non portare a lavare la MINI COOPER

S con il kit GP John Cooper Works in
impianti di lavaggio automatici o in tunnel
di lavaggio, altrimenti vengono danneg­giati lo spoiler e il cofano posteriore.
Non utilizzare idropulitrici a vapore o puli­tori ad alta pressione nella zona del
numero di serie sul tetto e dell'attacco dello
spoiler posteriore al lunotto posteriore,
altrimenti possono verificarsi dei danni.<

Cerchi in lega leggera

La Sua MINI è dotata di cerchi in lega leg­gera di peso ridotto. Avere cura di questi
ultimi utilizzando un gel per la pulizia di
cerchi MINI. Per la rimozione totale della
polvere dei freni potrà acquistare una spaz­zola speciale per la pulizia con vari supporti
presso il Suo Centro Assistenza MINI.
