Performance
Performance. With its compact dimensions, three steering modes and a tight turning radius,
the TH514 provides exceptional mobility and maneuvrability for working in confined spaces
like buildings and yards.
The chassis and booms are manufactured from
the highest quality steel to ensure long term
life and component durability. The chassis and
booms are computer aided designed and were
subject to rigorous stress analysis, durability
and fatigue tests to ensure that the machine
meets all application demands and fulfils
customer expectations.
Boom. This model features a box section
boom constructed of four welded plates.
This box section design gives freedom to place
material where needed, optimising weight
and lift capacity. Also the wear pads are placed
in an optimal position with regards to load
distribution — resulting in less wear, greater
wear pad contact area and less friction.
Chassis. The chassis of the TH514 is the main
platform to mount all major components such as
engine pod, axles, boom and cab assemblies. The
sturdy chassis features composite bearings with a
durable bronze alloy design.
This model features a one-piece chassis with
side-mounted cabin and side mounted engine.
A widespread wheelbase gives outstanding
stability in both traveling and lifting operations.
Stabilizers. Stabilizers are standard on the TH514
to provide increased stability and load capacity
at reach. The stabilizers are controlled from
the joystick: full proportional, independent or
simultaneous.
A compensating cylinder is standard. This
cylinder keeps the pallet forks or work tools
parallel when lifting or lowering the boom.
The TH514 uses two hydraulic cylinders to extend
and retract the boom.
Operator Station. The operator station provides maximum space, all-round visibility and easier access
to all controls. The interactive LCD display allows the operator to understand the machine information
more easily. Overall, the new cab provides a comfortable environment for the operator.
Interactive LCD Display. The new interactive
display allows full interaction with the
main controller.
Cab. Operators feel comfortable sitting in the new
spacious cabin.
The cabin contains a comfortable, fully adjustable
seat with ample leg space and controls within
reach. A comprehensive dashboard LCD display
completes the operator’s feeling of control.

Joystick. Setting new standards in
hydraulic controllability, the single joystick
electro-hydraulic controls allow operators
to become proficient in operation.
All controls, including auxiliary hydraulics,
are fully proportional and controlled directly
from the joystick. In addition the stabilizers
are also controlled from the joystick; fully
proportional, independent or simultaneous.
A transmission disconnect button (see red
arrow) is fitted on the joystick to give added
machine control; it allows full engine power
to the hydraulics for fast boom operation
without manually disconnecting the drive.
Hydraulic System. Fitted as standard a variable displacement axial piston pump is mounted externally
on the transmission assembly and supplies oil upon demand to the hydraulic control valve assembly.
This reduces both fuel consumption and heat generation.
The load sensing, flow sharing, hydraulic
system delivers high digging/lift forces
and allows all three boom functions to be
operated simultaneously and proportionally.
It provides smooth, logical control of the
boom and work tools for greater accuracy
and efficiency, especially when placing loads
in challenging applications.
On the boom head, an auxiliary
double acting hydraulic circuit is installed
as standard. The auxiliary double acting circuit
means a wide range of hydraulically operated
work tools can be used for attachments or the
hydraulic quick coupler.
A selectable continuous auxiliary hydraulic flow
is standard on all models for work tools such
as brooms and auger. The flow is fully adjustable
from 0 ~ 60 L/min (15.85 gal/min). Pump size is
150 L/min (39.63 gal/min).
