Getting Started
1. Run Cubase.
2. Click on the “Devices” menu, and select “Device Setup…”.
3. Click on the ‘+’ in the top lefthand corner of the “Device Setup” dialog. Select
“Oxygen” from the dropdown list of Remote Devices.
4. Select “Oxygen xx” port* as the MIDI Input and “Oxygen xx” port* as the MIDI Output
port.
5. Click OK to return to your Cubase project.
6. Please review Section 7 of the User Guide for a description of the controls available
through DirectLink.
Note
If you are recording MIDI in Cubase, you may find that the DirectLink control data gets
recorded along with your track. This is because Cubase allows all Control surface data to be
recorded in your project. However, DirectLink data is all sent on Channel 16. If you wish to
prevent DirectLink data affecting your MIDI recordings follow these steps:
• Select the ‘File’ (Windows) or ‘Cubase’ (OS X) menu
• Select Preferences
• Locate ‘MIDI’ and then click ‘MIDI Filter’
• Click ‘16’ to filter channel 16 from the MIDI Inputs
