Software Update Information.

[PHENOMENON]

When Power ON/OFF is repeated, infrequently all settings are reset to the factory default setting.

[SOLUTION]

1) First, "EEPROM data” is extracted.

2) Next, SUB microprocessor is Update.

3) After MAIN microprocessor is Update.

4) Finally write return of "EEPROM data”.

Notes: The lamp life is reset, "EEPROM data” needs extract and write return.

5) Update the Sub and Main software version to [ Main 1.06 Sub1.12 Gui1.17 ]

“ 7.UPDATE SUB AND MAIN MICROPROCESSOR ”.

The version number can be confirmed with SERVICE Hint, Refer to service manual of page 42.

6) Cautions:

The starting time of POWER is changed.
Rotation of the COLOR WHEEL after POWER ON is changed from about 20 seconds to about 60 seconds.

[NECESSARY PART]

1) Update of the firmware sub uP, Main uP and "EEPROM data” Backup program disc

Data Backup / Sub-uP, Main-uP Update Procedure

Caution: First, "EEPROM data” is extracted. Next, SUB microprocessor is Update, after MAIN

microprocessor is Update.

[EEPROM data extract Procedure]

1. Copy the file “VPBackup ver3.00.exe” on the Windows PC.

Double click “VPBackup ver3.00.exe”

Finally write return of "EEPROM data”.

The following screen is displayed.

2. Connect RS-232C on the rear panel of the unit and Serial Port of windows PC with RS232C cable.
(RS232C cable straight type ,9 pin female - 9 pin female)

3. Press the POWER button to turn on the unit.
