Wearing your Headset
Press the earclip adjuster and slide the headset over either ear. Rotate the microphone boom so it is pointing toward the corner of your mouth. Adjust the headset until it feels comfortable.
Using your Headset
Turning the headset on and off:
Pushing the multi-function button and holding for 2 seconds will turn on the headset. To
turn the headset off, simply push the multi-function button and hold for 2 seconds. This
feature will work even if your phone does not support the multi-function call answer/end
feature.
Standby:
The headset will power down after 5 minutes of no activity. This will help conserve power.
Your headset will automatically power up when your phone receives a call.
Answering/ending a call:
To answer or end (hang-up) a phone call, simply push the multi-function button. When
pushing the button, do NOT hold the button; release it after pushing. Holding the button
for 2 seconds will turn off your headset. NOTE: Not all phones support the call answer/end
feature. If your phone does not support this feature, to answer a call first turn on your
headset by pushing and holding the multi-function button. Then, use your mobile phone to
answer/end the call.
Adjusting call volume:
To adjust the headset’s volume, simply push the “+” button to raise it, or the “ - ” to lower
it. A tone will sound indicating the change in volume. When the headset is turned OFF, the
current volume level is saved and stored.
Muting a call:
The headset can be muted by pushing both the “+” and “ - ” buttons at the same time. To
stop muting, push either the “+” or the “ - ” buttons. When your headset is muted, the LED
will flash at a faster rate than normal.
Pairing your Headset with your Bluetooth™Mobile Phone
You r Logitech®Bluetooth™Headset must be “paired” to a Bluetooth phone before it will function. The following section describes how to pair your Logitech Bluetooth headset to a typical Bluetooth phone.
1. Charge your Bluetooth™Cordless Headset using the charger/carrying case. Make sure the headset is fully charged before proceeding (see page 4 for instructions on charging your headset).
2. Press and hold down the Volume “–” and Multi-function buttons for approximately 7 seconds until the headset indicator light glows steadily orange. There will be some short flashes before it becomes steady.
3. While the light is still steadily lit, release the button. The indicator light will remain on for 60 seconds, indicating that the headset is in pairing mode and waiting to communicate with another Bluetooth device.
4. Follow the operating instructions for your Bluetooth phone to start the pairing process. Typically, this is done by going to a ‘setup’ or ‘connect’ menu and then selecting the options to ‘discover’ Bluetooth devices. It may take several seconds to establish a connection.
5. Your phone’s display should indicate to you that it found the ‘Logitech HS01’ headset and ask if you want to pair it. You should confirm this.
6. The phone’s display should then prompt you for a passkey or PIN. Enter a sequence of four ones: 1111.
7. To indicate that pairing has been successful, the headset indicator light will briefly flash rapidly before it goes back to flashing every 3 seconds in standby mode.
8. Your phone’s display may also ask whether you want to change the headset’s name. We recommend that you approve the ‘Logitech HS01’ name and not change it.
9. If the headset indicator light is still steadily lit and orange, pairing was unsuccessful and you will need to turn your headset off, return to step 1, and try again. You may want to restart your phone.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use my headset on a plane?
No. At this time, the FAA prohibits the use of wireless/RF devices on airplanes.
How long should it take to charge my headset?
It should take approximately 4 hours to charge your headset when the battery is completely discharged. The LED light will turn green when charged.
What happens if the signal from the headset to the phone is lost?
A lost signal between the headset and phone could be caused either by a low battery or if the phone is out of the headset’s range. If this occurs, return the phone to within 30 feet of the headset. If the battery is low, re-charge the headset.
Should the headset be stored in the charger and charging while not in use?
It can be. No damage will occur by storing the unit in the case. The charge will stop when the headset is fully charged.
What if my phone doesn’t support the multi-function button?
Unfortunately, not all phones fully support the multi-function button on your headset. If this is the case, simply use your mobile phone to answer and end calls, just as you do when you’re not using the headset.
Where should I place the mini-boom?
For best results, place the end of the mini-boom as close to your mouth as possible.
Is there a car adapter available?
Yes . You can find it at www.logitech.com/adapter_offer.
Is there a power saving mode for my headset?
Yes. If the headset is not used for 5 minutes, the device will turn itself off to conserve power.
Charging your Headset
Your carrying case doubles as a charger for your Logitech Bluetooth
Cordless Headset. Charging your headset is simple:
1. Tu rn off the headset and place it into the charger, making sure all contacts are snug.
2. Plug the power adapter into the charger.
3. Connect the power adapter to a nearby electrical outlet.
4. The LED lights will be red when charging. If the LED is orange, the connection is not sufficient. Tighten the connection until the LED turns red, or green, if the headset is already fully charged.
5. When the LED turns green, your headset is fully charged which will take 4 hours.
Adjusting the mini-boom:
The mini-boom should be stored in its “closed” position with microphone element resting just above the multi-function button. To adjust, swivel the mini-boom gently and stop where the microphone element is as close to your mouth as possible.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT FORCE THE MINI-BOOM. IF YOU FEEL IT STOP, DO NOT FORCE IT. FORCING THE MINI-BOOM PAST THE HARD STOP IN EITHER DIRECTION WILL DAMAGE YOUR HEADSET.
Headset LED light:
The LED light will flash at different speeds and display different colors according to certain conditions.
