An analog voice gateway for
Linksys One communications
solutions
Linksys One is a complete, affordable, easy-to-install
communications solution for growing businesses, delivering
telephones, data networking, applications, and the Internet through one
high-speed connection from a single provider. Business class communications
services are delivered by a Linksys One Services Router, which requires only one
internet connection for all services - including low-cost phone service. One Linksys One Services Router is the
core for your network and is present in all Linksys One solutions. The VGA2000 provides a means of connecting
to legacy analog FAX machines or phones as well as providing a local connection to the public telephone
network for emergency services calls.

One analog phone or
FAX connection, one
analog connection to the
public telephone
Linksys One technology is automatic and self-configuring – plug in a Linksys One voice gateway to a Linksys
One Ethernet switch port and your business is ready to communicate. The Linksys One VGA2000 analog voice
gateway allows connection of one analog FAX machine or phone to the network. A second port allows
connection to the public telephone network.
If the broadband internet connection is disrupted, an emergency services (911) call can still be directed
from any telephone on the site to emergency services agents. A 10/100 port provides wired local area
network access. This port is capable of accepting IEEE POE and fully powering the voice gateway under
all operational conditions. The VGA2000 must be connected to a Linksys One-enabled switch port.
Operation of a VGA2000 analog voice gateway requires the installation, configuration and operation of
one Linksys One services router (such as the SVR3000) at the same site.
Software running on the VGA2000 interacts with provisioning, management and security software hosted
on the site's services router. This interaction provides a simple, one-step installation and access to webadministered management features. Simple, affordable network operations throughout the network's
lifetime are the result.
