Maintenance.
Service-oriented, carefully thought-out equipment designs
mean short maintenance times; all maintenance points are
arranged on the easily accessible service side of the engine.
The semi-automatic central lubricating system provided as

Wide variety of equipment.
The equipment elements fi tted to the crawler material-handlers have been designed especially with material-handling
operations in mind. The balanced industrial kinematic concepts ensure maximum working radii at high load capaci-
ties. A wide range of different industrial gooseneck booms
and industrial sticks provide the best possible equip-
ment variant for every task. Liebherr crawler excavators
are designed to shift a lot in a short time, and with-
out having to move the machine. This time saving
directly benefi ts handling capacity and achieves a
clear boost in profi tability.
Even greater adaptation to the particular task
can be provided with the new Vario Lift Plus
system, which Liebherr offers on all material-
handling excavators – the only manufacturer
to do so. With the help of holes provided on
the boom and slewing platform, the lifting
rams and the boom itself can be inserted
in a variable arrangement, which means
that a whole range of entirely different
tasks can be carried out by one mate-
rial-handling machine, selecting the
best kinematic variant in each partic-
ular case and the best possible load
capacities brought into action in
each case. Just one example is the
special plug-in variant intended for
loading and unloading ships.

Hydraulic and rigid cab elevation.
For an optimum view in the most widely differing operational situations, Liebherr provide hydraulically adjustable and rigid cab-elevation systems. Hydraulic cab
elevation means that the operator can adjust his range
of vision steplessly allowing the best possible range of
vision for his work. The result is optimum load performance and maximum productivity. To protect the driver,
Liebherr also offers a wide range of different protection
elements for the cab.

Driver’s cab.
The generous dimensions of the cab, with its wide range of
storage options, provide the best possible fi elds of vision
thanks to the large-area windows and the inclined superstructure edges. The air-conditioning system, the ergonomically designed driver’s seat, which can be adjusted in
a multitude of ways, and the low noise emissions all ensure
that the driver remains on top form all day long.

tools for every Liebherr hydraulic excavator. Thanks to their

Tool-Control and Likufix.
What is Tool Control?
Tool Control is an additional electro-hydraulic function which makes working with hydraulic addon parts very convenient. Up to ten combinations of oil fl ows and pressures can be programmed
with the name of the tool and selected directly from the display. With the help of Tool Control, the
operator can select the parameters for the hydraulic tool he wishes to use with a simple press of
a button – no elaborate readjustment needed when it comes to a tool change.
What is LIKUFIX?
Likufi x is a hydraulic quick-change system combined with an automatic hydraulic coupling
device designed for quick, reliable changing of mechanical and hydraulic add-on tools,
directly from the cab. Likufi x is the ideal supplement to Tool Control. The combination of
Likufi x and Tool Control makes it possible to change hydraulic addon tools easily – without even leaving the cab.
