Introduction

The LG Bluetooth®Headset HBM- 900 is a light weight wireless
Headset utilizing Bluetooth®technology. This product can be used
as an audio accessory for devices supporting either the Headset
or Handsfree Bluetooth®Profiles.

How to use

- Remove the cover on the charging port and connect the charger.

- When the charger is connected, with the power on or off, the Headset
will turn off automatically, and cannot be used.

- While charging, the LED indicator will show a solid blue light.

- The buttons will not function while the device is charging.

- It takes 2 hours to fully charge the Headset.

- When charging is complete, the LED indicator will turn off.

- Move the PWR switch from ON position to OFF position.
�A shutdown tone will play, the Bluetooth link will disconnect, and the

power will turn off.

How to use

Change direction

- Button Hold mode prevents any button on the HBM-900 from being
pressed unintentionally.

- Slide the PWR switch to the HOLD position to place the headset in
Hold mode.

- Slide the PWR switch to the ON position to turn off Hold mode.

- If you press any button on the headset, while it is in Button Hold mode,
you will hear three distinct beeps and the LED will blink three times to
alert you that the headset is in Hold Mode.

- When you slide the PWR switch to the OFF position, the Headset will
turn off, and Button Hold mode will turn off automatically.

- Button Hold mode cannot be activated during a call.

* NOTE : If there is an incoming call, while the headset is in Hold Mode, Hold

will be deactivated, and you are able to answer the call using the HBM-900
Call Button. Hold will be deactivated for the duration of the call. Five seconds
after the call is ended, the headset will automatically return to Hold Mode.

* NOTE : Please be careful not to end the call by pressing the call button

during hold button process.

How to use

Pairing

- Prior to using the Headset for the first time, you must pair it with a
Bluetooth-enabled handset.

- There are 2 Pairing Mode Methods with the HBM-900.

1) Easy Pairing

�With the Power off, move the PWR switch to ON position, to turn on

the HBM-900.

�The Headset will enter Auto-Reconnect mode, about 10 seconds

(If your Headset has been previously paired to the handset, the Headset
will automatically reconnect to the handset, when the HBM-900 is
powered on.)

�After 10 seconds, the HBM-900 will automatically enter Paring Mode.
�When the Headset enters Pairing Mode, the LED indicator will show

a solid blue light and you will hear two short beeps.

�Using your handset, find the Bluetooth Menu and “search for” or “add”

new devices.

�Select “LG HBM-900” from the list of devices and pair it with your handset.
�When asked for the Pass/PIN code during the pairing procedure,

please enter “0000” (4 Zeros).

�Once pairing has completed successfully, you will hear two short beeps.
�After pairing successfully, be sure to “Connect” to the LG HBM-900.
�If you want to pair with a different device in the future, the Headset

must be placed in Pairing Mode.

�If the Headset is in Pairing mode for three minutes without being

connected to a handset, the HBM-900 will automatically turn off.

2) Manual Pairing

�With the Power off, press and hold the Volume Control button and

move the PWR switch to ON position.

�When the Headset enters Pairing Mode, the LED indicator will show

a solid blue light.

�Using your handset, find the Bluetooth Menu and “search for” or “add”

new devices.

�Select “LG HBM-900” from the list of devices and pair it with your handset.
�When asked for the Pass/PIN code during the pairing procedure,

please enter “0000” (4 Zeros).

�Once pairing has completed successfully, you will hear two short beeps.
�After pairing successfully, be sure to “Connect” to the LG HBM-900.

Volume control (Circulation)

- If you feel that the volume needs to be adjusted manually, briefly
press the Volume Control (circulation) button. There are eight levels
of speaker volume. The volume will increse one level, each time the
volume Button is pressed. When the headset reaches the maximum
volume level, the next press of the button will return the headset to
the lowest volume level.

Auto Reconnect

- When the HBM-900 turns off (accidentally or intentionally) while connected
to a handset, the Headset and handset will disconnect. The Headset and
handset will automatically reconnect when the HBM-900 is turned back on.
(as long as both devices are within the required range of 33ft. or 10m).

[ Out of range ]

- When the HBM-900 and your handset are separated by a distance of
33 feet (10 meters) or more, the Headset and handset will disconnect.
When the handset and HBM-900 are brought back within the required
distance, the HBM-900 will automatically reconnect with the handset.

- If the Headset and handset do not automatically reconnect when they
are back within the required range, briefly press the CALL button on
the HBM-900 to reconnect manually.

� If you want to pair with a different device in the future, the Headset

must be placed in Pairing Mode.

� If the Headset is in Pairing mode for three minutes without being

connected to a handset, the HBM-900 will automatically turn off.

Auto Volume

- The HBM-900 uses an automatic volume control feature.
The volume level of the headset will automatically adjust, depending
on your environment (Louder environment = volume increase.
Quiter environment = volume decrease).

Multipoint

How to use

The LG HBM-900 is capable of having two handsets connected to the
Headset at the same time. This will give you the freedom of having only
one Headset to operate both of your handsets.

Multipoint Connect

- Pair the Headset with one of your Bluetooth-enabled handsets.
(per the pairing instructions on pages 5-6).

- Turn off the Headset.

- With the power off press and hold the Volume Control button and move
the PWR switch to ON position, to enter Manual Pairing mode. (you will
hear a tone).

- Now, pair and connect the Headset with your other Bluetooth-enabled
handset. (This will be your Primary handset).

- Once this handset is paired and connected, go back and connect the
first paired handset to Headset. (This will be your Secondary handset).

* Note: When the HBM-900 is connected to two handsets at the same

time(Multipoint), the Headset calling functions will work with the most
recently used handset.

Calling Functions (while in Multipoint)

- The Voice Dial and Last Number Redial features work with the Primary
handset. (most recently used handset).

- Initially, the first connected device is set as primary handset and the
next connected device is set as secondary handset.

- The device which made the last outgoing call will always be set as
the primary handset.

Calling

Call Reject*

- Activate Call Reject by touching the CALL button for 1second when
the handset rings.

* It is possible to use these functions only when your handset supports

them. For further information about using these features, please
consult your handset's user manual.

Answering a call

- When there is an incoming call, the Headset will ring.

- Briefly touch the CALL button to answer an incoming call.

Making a call

- If you make a call from the handset, the call will (subject to phone
settings) automatically transfer to the Headset. If the call is not
automatically transferred, you can manually transfer the call by briefly
touching the CALL button on the HBM-900 (Headset and handset
must be paired).

Voice dialing*

- Briefly touch the CALL button to activate “Voice Command”. You will get
the best results if you record the voice dialing tag through your Headset.
NOTE: If the handset does not support Voice Dialing, it is possible that

performing this action will activate Last Number redial.

Last number redial*

- Touch and hold the CALL button for 1second to activate “Last Number
Redial”. The Headset will beep, and call the last number dialed.

Ending a call

- Briefly touch the CALL button.

Transferring a call*

- While on a call on your handset, briefly touch the CALL button to transfer
the audio to the Headset.(Headset and handset must be paired).

- To transfer a call from the Headset to handset, press and hold VOLUME
button for 3 seconds.

Call waiting*

- Answer a second call without hanging up the first call by touching the
CALL button for 1second. Touch the CALL button for 1second to return
to the original call.

- Briefly touch the CALL button to terminate the active call or both calls
at once. (subject to handset's support)

1. Radio frequency exposure

This Bluetooth®Headset, HBM-900, is a radio transmitter and
receiver. When in operation, it communicates with a Bluetooth

®

equipped mobile device by receiving and transmitting radio frequency
(RF) electromagnetic fields (microwaves) in the frequency range

2.4 to 2.4835 GHz. The output power of the radio transmitter is low,

Headset is designed to operate in
compliance with the RF exposure guidelines and limits set by
national authorities and international health agencies when used
any compatible LG Electronics mobile phone.

2. Potentially explosive atmosphere

Turn off your electronic device when in any area with a potentially
explosive atmosphere. It is rare, but your electronic device could
generate sparks. Sparks in such areas could cause an explosion or
fire resulting in bodily injury or even death. Areas with a potentially
explosive atmosphere are often, but not always, clearly marked.

3.Emergency calls

IMPORTANT!
This Bluetooth

®

Headset and the electronic device connected to the
Headset operate using radio signals, cellular and landline networks
as well as user - programmed functions, which cannot guarantee
connection under all conditions. Therefore you should never rely
solely upon any electronic device for essential communications (e.g.
medical emergencies). Remember, in order to make or receive calls,
the Headset and the electronic device connected to the Headset must
be switched on and in a service area with adequate cellular signal
strength. Emergency calls may not be possible on all cellular phone
networks or when certain network services and/or phone features are
in use. Check with your local service provider.

4. Battery information

A rechargeable battery has a long service life if treated properly.
A new battery or one that has not been used for a long period of
time could have reduced capacity the first few times it is used.
Do not expose the battery to extreme temperatures, never above
+60°(+140°F) or under -20°(-4°F). For maximum battery capacity,
use the battery in room temperature. If the battery is used in low
temperatures, the battery capacity will be reduced. The battery
can only be charged in temperatures between +10°(+50°F) and
+45°(+113°F). For your safety, do not remove the battery incorperated
in the product. If you need to replace the battery, take it to the nearest
authorised LG Electronics service point or dealer for assistance.

5. Recycling the battery in your Bluetooth

®

Headset must be disposed of properly
and should never be placed in municipal waste. The LG Electronics
service partner removing battery will dispose of it according to local
regulations.

6. Conditions

-The warranty is valid only if the original receipt issued to the original

purchaser by the dealer, specifying the date of purchase and serial
number, is presented with the product to be repaired or replaced.
LG Electronics reserves the right to refuse warranty service if this
information has been removed or changed after the original
purchase of the product from the dealer.

- If LG Electronics repairs or replaces the product, the repaired or
replaced product shall be warranted for the remaining time of the
original warranty period or for ninety (90) days from the date of
repair, whichever is longer. Repair or replacement may involve the
use of functionally equivalent reconditioned units. Replaced parts
or components will become the property of LG Electronics.

- This Warranty does not cover any failure of the product due to
normal wear and tear, or due to misuse, including but not limited to
use in other than the normal and customary manner, in accordance
with instructions for use and maintenance of the product. Nor does
this warranty cover any failure of the product due to accident,
modification or adjustment, acts of God or damage resulting from

- This warranty does not cover product failures due to improper

Limited Warranty

Avoiding hearing damage Permanent hearing loss may occur if you

use your Headset at a high volume. Set the volume to a safe level.
You can adapt over time to a higher volume of sound that may sound
normal but can be damaging to your hearing. If you experience ringing
in your ears or muffled speech, stop listening and have your hearing
checked. The louder the volume, the less time is required before your
hearing could be affected. Hearing experts suggest that to protect
your hearing:

�Limit the amount of time you use Headset at high volume.
�Avoid turning up the volume to block out noisy surroundings.
�Turn the volume down if you can't hear people speaking near you.

For information about how to set a maximum volume limit on your
handset, please refer to the features guide for your handset.

Using Headsets safely Use of Headsets to listen to music while
operating a vehicle is not recommended and is illegal in some areas.
Be careful and attentive while driving. Stop using this device if you
find it disruptive or distracting while operating any type of vehicle or
performing any other activity that requires your full attention.

un botón del auricular HBM-900.

- Mientras el auricular está en modo de control de botones, al presionar
cualquier botón escuchará tres tonos de aviso distintos y el indicador
LED parpadeará tres veces para avisarle que está en el modo de control
de botones.

- Al deslizar el interruptor de encendido a la posición de apagado, el auricular
se apagará y el modo de control de botones se desactivará automáticamente.

- El modo de control de botones no puede activarse durante una llamada.

* NOTA: Al recibir una llamada (cuando el auricular esté en modo de control

de botones) el control se desactivará y podrá responder la llamada con el
botón de llamada del auricular HBM-900. El control permanecerá desactivado
durante toda la llamada. Cinco segundos después de finalizada la llamada,
el auricular volverá automáticamente al modo de control de botones.

* NOTA: Tenga cuidado de no finalizar la llamada al presionar el botón de

Modo de uso

Asociación

- Antes de usar el auricular por primera vez, deberá asociarlo con un
terminal compatible con Bluetooth.

- Existen dos métodos para asociar dispositivos con el auricular HBM-900.

1) Asociación fácil

�Con el auricular apagado, mueva el interruptor a la posición de encendido

para encender el auricular HBM-900.

�El auricular ingresará en el modo de reconexión automática durante 10

segundos (si el auricular ya se ha asociado con el terminal, al encender
el HBM-900, se conectará con el terminal en forma automática).

�Tras 10 segundos, el auricular HBM-900 pasará automáticamente al

modo de asociación.

�Cuando el auricular ingrese en el modo de asociación, el indicador LED

quedará encendido en color azul y escuchará dos tonos de aviso cortos.

�En el terminal, desde el menú de Bluetooth, busque o agregue nuevos

dispositivos.

�Seleccione de la lista de dispositivos la opción “LG HBM-900” y

asócielo con el terminal.

�Cuando se le solicite el código de acceso o código PIN durante el

procedimiento de asociación, ingrese “0000” (4 ceros).

�Una vez que los dispositivos se hayan asociado satisfactoriamente,

oirá dos tonos de aviso cortos.

�Tras una asociación satisfactoria, asegúrese de “conectar” el terminal

al auricular LG HBM-900.

�Si desea asociar el auricular con otro dispositivo, debe establecer el

HBM-900 en el modo de asociación.

�Si el auricular está en el modo de asociación durante tres minutos msin

conectarse a un terminal, se apagará automáticamente.

2) Asociación manual

�Con el auricular apagado, mantenga presionado el botón de control de

volumen y mueva el interruptor de encendido a la posición de encendido.

�Cuando el auricular ingrese en el modo de asociación, el indicador LED

quedará encendido en color azul y escuchará dos tonos de aviso cortos.

�En el terminal, desde el menú de Bluetooth, busque o agregue nuevos

dispositivos.

�Seleccione de la lista de dispositivos la opción “LG HBM-900” y

asócielo con el terminal.

Control de volumen (en circulación)

- Si cree que debe ajustar el volumen manualmente, presione brevemente

aumentará un nivel. Cuando el auricular llegue al máximo nivel de
volumen, si vuelve a presionar el botón el auricular volverá al nivel de

Reconexión automática

- Si el HBM-900 se apaga (deliberada o accidentalmente) mientras está
conectado a un terminal, los aparatos se desconectarán. Cuando se
vuelva a encender el auricular, el HBM-900 y el terminal volverán a
conectarse automáticamente (siempre que ambos dispositivos se
encuentren dentro del radio de alcance necesario de 33 pies o 10 m).

[ Fuera del radio de alcance ]

- Cuando el HBM-900 y el terminal están separados a una distancia de
33 pies (10 metros) o más, se desconectarán. Si se los vuelve a poner
a la distancia adecuada, el auricular HBM-900 se reconectará con el
terminal en forma automática.

- Si no se reconectan automáticamente cuando vuelvan a estar dentro
del radio de alcance necesario, presione brevemente el botón de
llamada del HBM-900 para proceder a una reconexión manual.

Volumen automático

- El HBM-900 utiliza una función de control de volumen automática.
El volumen del auricular se ajustará automáticamente según el
ambiente (Ambiente más ruidoso = el volumen aumenta. Ambiente
más calmo = el volumen baja).

Modo de uso

�Cuando se le solicite el código de acceso o código PIN durante el

procedimiento de asociación, ingrese “0000” (4 ceros).

�Una vez que los dispositivos se hayan asociado satisfactoriamente,

oirá dos tonos de aviso cortos.

�Tras una asociación satisfactoria, asegúrese de “conectar” el terminal

al auricular LG HBM-900.

�Si desea asociar el auricular con otro dispositivo, debe establecer el

HBM-900 en el modo de asociación.

�Si el auricular está en el modo de asociación durante tres minutos msin

conectarse a un terminal, se apagará automáticamente.

Modo de uso

El auricular HBM-900 de LG puede tener conectados dos terminales al
mismo tiempo. Así, usted disfrutará de la libertad de usar un solo auricular
con sus dos terminales.

Conexión multipunto

- Empareje el auricular con uno de sus terminales compatibles con
Bluetooth (tal como se indica en las instrucciones de emparejamiento
de las páginas 5 y 6).

- Apague el auricular.

- Con el auricular apagado, mantenga presionado el botón de control de
volumen y mueva el interruptor de encendido a la posición para
encender, para entrar al modo de asociación manual.(Oirá un tono).

- Luego, proceda a emparejar y conectar el auricular con el otro terminal
compatible con Bluetooth (éste será su terminal principal).

- Una vez que este terminal esté emparejado y conectado, retroceda y
conecte el primer terminal que emparejó con el auricular (éste será su
terminal secundario).

* Nota: Cuando el auricular HBM-900 esté conectado a dos terminales al

mismo tiempo (multipunto), las funciones de llamada del auricular
comandarán el terminal que se haya usado más recientemente.

Función de llamada (en multipunto)

- Las funciones para marcar por voz y volver a marcar el último número
se dirigirán al terminal principal (el terminal que se haya usado último).

- Inicialmente, el dispositivo que haya conectado primero se establece
como teléfono principal y el que haya conectado después se establece
como teléfono secundario.

- El dispositivo con el que haya realizado la última llamada saliente
siempre estará establecido como terminal principal.

Llamadas

Rechazar una llamada*

- Active la función para rechazar una llamada tocando el botón de
llamada por 1 segundo mientras esté sonando el teléfono.

* Estas funciones sólo se pueden usar si el terminal las admite.

consulte el manual del usuario provisto con su terminal.

Responder una llamada

- Cuando reciba una llamada entrante, el terminal comenzará a sonar.

- Toque brevemente el botón de llamada para atender la llamada entrante.

Hacer una llamada

- Si hace una llamada desde el terminal, la llamada se transferirá
automáticamente al auricular (siempre que la configuración del teléfono
así lo establezca). Si no se transfiere en forma automática, puede
transferirla en forma manual tocando brevemente el botón de llamada
del auricular HBM-900 (el teléfono y el auricular deben estar asociados).

Marcar por voz*

- Toque brevemente el botón de llamada para activar el comando de voz.
Obtendrá mejores resultados si graba el identificador de marcado por
voz con el auricular.
NOTA: Si el terminal no es compatible con el marcado por voz, es

posible que, con esta acción, se active la función para volver
a llamar al último número que marcó.

Volver a marcar el último número*

- Mantenga presionado el botón de llamada durante 1 segundo a fin de
activar la función para volver a llamar al último número marcado.
El terminal emitirá un sonido y llamará al último número que marcó.

Finalizar una llamada

- Toque brevemente el botón de llamada.

Transferir una llamada*

- Cuando esté en una llamada con el teléfono, toque brevemente el botón
de llamada para transferir el audio al auricular. (El teléfono y el auricular
deben estar asociados).

- Si desea transferir una llamada del auricular al teléfono, mantenga
presionado el botón de volumen durante 3 segundos.

Llamada en espera*

- Atienda una segunda llamada sin cortar la llamada en curso, tocando
el botón de llamada durante 1 segundo. Vuelva a tocar el botón de

3. Llamadas de emergencia

Importante
auricular Bluetooth®y el dispositivo electrónico conectado a él funcionan
con señales de radio, redes terrestres y celulares, además de funciones
programadas por el usuario, que no pueden garantizar la conexión en
todas las condiciones. Por lo tanto, nunca debe depender únicamente
de un dispositivo electrónico para casos de comunicaciones esenciales
(por ej. emergencias médicas). Recuerde que, para hacer o recibir
llamadas, el auricular y el dispositivo electrónico conectado a él deben
estar encendidos y en un área de servicio con una señal celular de
buena potencia. Las llamadas de emergencia no pueden hacerse en

4. Información de la batería

6. Condiciones

Garantía limitada

Reducción de la capacidad auditiva: Si usa el auricular con un nivel

de volumen alto, podría sufrir hipoacusia permanente. Establezca el

volumen de sonido más alto que podría parecer normal, pero que quizá

tiempo antes de que el sentido del oído pueda quedar afectado.
Algunos expertos en audición sugieren que, para proteger el sentido
del oído, se debe:

�Limitar el tiempo de uso del auricular a volumen alto.
�Evitar subir el volumen para contrarrestar excesos de ruido ambiente.
�Bajar el volumen si no oye a la gente que habla cerca de usted.
