Introduction
The LG Bluetooth®Headset HBM- 900 is a light weight wireless Headset utilizing Bluetooth®technology. This product can be used as an audio accessory for devices supporting either the Headset or Handsfree Bluetooth®Profiles.

How to use
- Remove the cover on the charging port and connect the charger.
- When the charger is connected, with the power on or off, the Headset will turn off automatically, and cannot be used.
- While charging, the LED indicator will show a solid blue light.
- The buttons will not function while the device is charging.
- It takes 2 hours to fully charge the Headset.
- When charging is complete, the LED indicator will turn off.
- Move the PWR switch from ON position to OFF position. A shutdown tone will play, the Bluetooth link will disconnect, and the
power will turn off.

How to use
Change direction
- Button Hold mode prevents any button on the HBM-900 from being pressed unintentionally.
- Slide the PWR switch to the HOLD position to place the headset in Hold mode.
- Slide the PWR switch to the ON position to turn off Hold mode.
- If you press any button on the headset, while it is in Button Hold mode, you will hear three distinct beeps and the LED will blink three times to alert you that the headset is in Hold Mode.
- When you slide the PWR switch to the OFF position, the Headset will turn off, and Button Hold mode will turn off automatically.
- Button Hold mode cannot be activated during a call.
* NOTE : If there is an incoming call, while the headset is in Hold Mode, Hold
will be deactivated, and you are able to answer the call using the HBM-900 Call Button. Hold will be deactivated for the duration of the call. Five seconds after the call is ended, the headset will automatically return to Hold Mode.
* NOTE : Please be careful not to end the call by pressing the call button
during hold button process.

- A low battery tone will play once every 30 seconds.
- If the battery is not charged, the Headset will turn off.
- Move the PWR switch from OFF position to ON position.
The power will turn on and a booting tone will play.

How to use
Pairing
- Prior to using the Headset for the first time, you must pair it with a Bluetooth-enabled handset.
- There are 2 Pairing Mode Methods with the HBM-900.
1) Easy Pairing
With the Power off, move the PWR switch to ON position, to turn on
the HBM-900.
The Headset will enter Auto-Reconnect mode, about 10 seconds
(If your Headset has been previously paired to the handset, the Headset will automatically reconnect to the handset, when the HBM-900 is powered on.)
After 10 seconds, the HBM-900 will automatically enter Paring Mode.When the Headset enters Pairing Mode, the LED indicator will show
a solid blue light and you will hear two short beeps.
Using your handset, find the Bluetooth Menu and “search for” or “add”
new devices.
Select “LG HBM-900” from the list of devices and pair it with your handset.When asked for the Pass/PIN code during the pairing procedure,
please enter “0000” (4 Zeros).
Once pairing has completed successfully, you will hear two short beeps.After pairing successfully, be sure to “Connect” to the LG HBM-900.If you want to pair with a different device in the future, the Headset
must be placed in Pairing Mode.
If the Headset is in Pairing mode for three minutes without being
connected to a handset, the HBM-900 will automatically turn off.
2) Manual Pairing
With the Power off, press and hold the Volume Control button and
move the PWR switch to ON position.
When the Headset enters Pairing Mode, the LED indicator will show
a solid blue light.
Using your handset, find the Bluetooth Menu and “search for” or “add”
new devices.
Select “LG HBM-900” from the list of devices and pair it with your handset.When asked for the Pass/PIN code during the pairing procedure,
please enter “0000” (4 Zeros).
Once pairing has completed successfully, you will hear two short beeps.After pairing successfully, be sure to “Connect” to the LG HBM-900.

Volume control (Circulation)
- If you feel that the volume needs to be adjusted manually, briefly press the Volume Control (circulation) button. There are eight levels of speaker volume. The volume will increse one level, each time the volume Button is pressed. When the headset reaches the maximum volume level, the next press of the button will return the headset to the lowest volume level.
Auto Reconnect
- When the HBM-900 turns off (accidentally or intentionally) while connected to a handset, the Headset and handset will disconnect. The Headset and handset will automatically reconnect when the HBM-900 is turned back on. (as long as both devices are within the required range of 33ft. or 10m).
[ Out of range ]
- When the HBM-900 and your handset are separated by a distance of 33 feet (10 meters) or more, the Headset and handset will disconnect. When the handset and HBM-900 are brought back within the required distance, the HBM-900 will automatically reconnect with the handset.
- If the Headset and handset do not automatically reconnect when they are back within the required range, briefly press the CALL button on the HBM-900 to reconnect manually.
If you want to pair with a different device in the future, the Headset
must be placed in Pairing Mode.
If the Headset is in Pairing mode for three minutes without being
connected to a handset, the HBM-900 will automatically turn off.
Auto Volume
- The HBM-900 uses an automatic volume control feature. The volume level of the headset will automatically adjust, depending on your environment (Louder environment = volume increase. Quiter environment = volume decrease).

Multipoint
How to use
The LG HBM-900 is capable of having two handsets connected to the Headset at the same time. This will give you the freedom of having only one Headset to operate both of your handsets.
Multipoint Connect
- Pair the Headset with one of your Bluetooth-enabled handsets. (per the pairing instructions on pages 5-6).
- Turn off the Headset.
- With the power off press and hold the Volume Control button and move the PWR switch to ON position, to enter Manual Pairing mode. (you will hear a tone).
- Now, pair and connect the Headset with your other Bluetooth-enabled handset. (This will be your Primary handset).
- Once this handset is paired and connected, go back and connect the first paired handset to Headset. (This will be your Secondary handset).
* Note: When the HBM-900 is connected to two handsets at the same
time(Multipoint), the Headset calling functions will work with the most recently used handset.
Calling Functions (while in Multipoint)
- The Voice Dial and Last Number Redial features work with the Primary handset. (most recently used handset).
- Initially, the first connected device is set as primary handset and the next connected device is set as secondary handset.
- The device which made the last outgoing call will always be set as the primary handset.
Calling
Call Reject*
- Activate Call Reject by touching the CALL button for 1second when the handset rings.
* It is possible to use these functions only when your handset supports
them. For further information about using these features, please consult your handset's user manual.
Answering a call
- When there is an incoming call, the Headset will ring.
- Briefly touch the CALL button to answer an incoming call.
Making a call
- If you make a call from the handset, the call will (subject to phone settings) automatically transfer to the Headset. If the call is not automatically transferred, you can manually transfer the call by briefly touching the CALL button on the HBM-900 (Headset and handset must be paired).
Voice dialing*
- Briefly touch the CALL button to activate “Voice Command”. You will get the best results if you record the voice dialing tag through your Headset. NOTE: If the handset does not support Voice Dialing, it is possible that
performing this action will activate Last Number redial.
Last number redial*
- Touch and hold the CALL button for 1second to activate “Last Number Redial”. The Headset will beep, and call the last number dialed.
Ending a call
- Briefly touch the CALL button.
Transferring a call*
- While on a call on your handset, briefly touch the CALL button to transfer the audio to the Headset.(Headset and handset must be paired).
- To transfer a call from the Headset to handset, press and hold VOLUME button for 3 seconds.
Call waiting*
- Answer a second call without hanging up the first call by touching the CALL button for 1second. Touch the CALL button for 1second to return to the original call.
- Briefly touch the CALL button to terminate the active call or both calls at once. (subject to handset's support)
