The product is a device for event technology! The product has been developed for professional use in the field of event technology and is not suitable for use in households! handling event technology! Use of the product outside the specified technical data and operating conditions is considered improper use! Liability for damage and third-party damage to persons and property due to improper use is excluded! The product is not suitable for:

• Persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge.

• Children (children must be instructed not to play with the appliance).

WARNING:

ATTENTION:

1. Do not operate the unit if it has been exposed to large temperature fluctuations (for example, after transport). Moisture and condensation could damage the unit. Do not switch on the unit until it has reached ambient temperature.

2. Make sure that the voltage and frequency of the mains supply match the values indicated on the unit. If the unit has a voltage selector switch, do not connect the unit until it is set correctly. Only use suitable mains cables.

3. To disconnect the unit from the mains at all poles, it is not sufficient to press the on/off switch on the unit.

4. Make sure that the fuse used corresponds to the type printed on the unit.

5. Make sure that appropriate measures have been taken against overvoltage (e.g. lightning strike).

6. Observe the specified maximum output current on units with Power Out connection. Make sure that the total current consumption of all connected devices does not exceed the indicated value!

7. Replace pluggable mains cables only with original cables.

DANGER:

1. Danger of suffocation! Plastic bags and small parts must be kept out of reach of persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities.

2. Danger from falling down! Make sure that the unit is securely installed and cannot fall down. Use only suitable stands or mountings (especially for permanent installations). Ensure that accessories are properly installed and secured. Make sure that applicable safety regulations are observed.

WARNING:

1. Use the appliance only in the manner intended.

2. Operate the appliance only with the accessories recommended and intended by the manufacturer.

3. During installation, observe the safety regulations applicable in your country.

4. After connecting the unit, check all cable routes to avoid damage or accidents, e.g. due to tripping hazards.

Be sure to observe the specified minimum distance to normally flammable materials!

If this is not explicitly stated, the minimum distance is 0.3 m.

CAUTION:

1. In the case of moving components such as mounting brackets or other moving components, there is a possibility of jamming.

2. In the case of units with motor-driven components, there is a risk of injury from the movement of the unit. Sudden movements of the equipment can lead to startle reactions.

ATTENTION:

1. Do not install or operate the appliance near any radiators, heat registers, stoves or other heat sources. Always ensure that the unit is installed in such a way that it is sufficiently cooled and cannot overheat.

2. Do not place ignition sources such as burning candles near the appliance.

3. Ventilation openings must not be covered and fans must not be blocked.

4. Use the original packaging or packaging provided by the manufacturer for transport.

5. Avoid shock or impact to the unit.

6. Observe the IP protection class as well as the ambient conditions such as temperature and humidity according to the specification.

7. Devices can be constantly further developed. In the event of any discrepancies between the operating instructions and the appliance labelling with regard to operating conditions, performance or other appliance characteristics, the information on the appliance always takes precedence.

The unit is not suitable for tropical climates and for operation above 2000 m above sea level.

CAUTION:

Connecting signal cables can cause considerable noise. Make sure that devices connected to the output are muted when plugged in. Otherwise, levels of noise can cause damage.

ATTENTION HIGH VOLUME AUDIO PRODUCTS!

This unit is intended for professional use. Commercial operation of this appliance is subject to the applicable national regulations and guidelines for accident prevention. Hearing damage due to high volume and continuous exposure: Use of this product may produce high sound pressure levels (SPL) which may cause hearing damage. Avoid exposure to high volumes.

SIGNAL TRANSMISSION BY RADIO (e.g. W-DMX or audio radio systems, Bluetooth):

The quality and performance of wireless signal transmissions is generally dependent on the environmental conditions.

The range and signal stability are influenced by, for example:

• Shielding (e.g. masonry, metal buildings, water)

• High radio traffic (e.g. strong W-LAN networks)

• Interference

• Electromagnetic radiation (e.g. LED video walls, dimmers)

All range specifications refer to free-field application with visual contact without interference!

The operation of transmitters is subject to official regulations. These can vary from region to region and must be checked by the operator before commissioning (e.g. radio frequency and transmission power).

WARNING:

Units with wireless signal transmission are not suitable for operation in sensitive areas where radio operation can lead to possible interactions. These include, for example:

• Hospitals, health centres or other healthcare facilities that provide patient treatment with

specialist staff and equipment.

• Class I, II and III hazardous areas

• Restricted areas

• Military facilities

• Aircraft or vehicles

• Areas where the use of mobile phones is prohibited

NOTES FOR PORTABLE INDOOR EQUIPMENT

1. Temporary operation! Event equipment is generally designed for temporary use only.

2. Continuous operation or permanent installation can lead to impairment of the function and premature ageing of the units.

PACKAGING CONTENT

Remove the product from the packaging and remove all packaging material. Check the completeness and integrity of the delivery and please notify your distributor immediately after purchase if the delivery is not complete or damaged.

ASSEMBLY AND CABLING

DANGER: Always place the speaker system in a suitable location on a sufficiently stable,

level and horizontal surface. Make sure that the speaker system cannot fall off the edge of a stage (e.g. due to vibration). There is a risk that units that have not been set up and positioned correctly will fall over or down. This can seriously injure or kill people.

CONSTRUCTION

The LD Systems MAUI 11 G3 and MAUI 28 G3 column systems each consist of three components:

The subwoofer with integrated electronics for all system components.

The lower column element with the connections on the bottom and top (Lower Column – LC).

The upper column element with the connection on the underside (Upper Column – UC).

Place the subwoofer in the desired location, plug the lower column element (LC) onto the connecting element on the top of the subwoofer 1 and then the upper column element (UC) onto the lower column element 2. Guide bolts made of stainless steel facilitate correct assembly and ensure a secure hold at the same time. The column elements are automatically supplied with the corresponding audio signals when the system components are plugged together using custom-made multipin connectors.

POWER INPUT

IEC mains socket with integrated fuse holder. A suitable mains cable is included in the packaging content. IMPORTANT NOTE: Replace the fuse only with one of the same type and rating. Pay attention to the imprint on the housing. If the fuse blows repeatedly, please contact an authorised service centre.

On/off switch. Always switch on the speaker system as the last unit in the signal chain and switch it off again as the first unit.

Stereo line input with two combo jacks (3-pin XLR / 6.3 mm jack) suitable for both balanced and unbalanced cabling.

THRU L – R

Stereo line output with two male 3-pin XLR sockets (output signal = input signal).

Balanced line output with a male 3-pin XLR socket for driving a follower subwoofer (MAUI 11 G3 or MAUI 28 G3 subwoofer). Follower subwoofer: Use either line input IN L or R for signal control. Both level controls MAIN and SUB as well as the Bluetooth unit are deactivated when the MAUI 11 G3 or MAUI 28 G3 subwoofer is used as a follower subwoofer (speaker columns not mounted). The description of the Cardioid setup and the expansion with a follower subwoofer without

Adjust the overall volume. The subwoofer volume is also controlled according to the setting on the SUB volume control. Turning to the right increases the volume, turning to the left decreases it.

STATUS DISPLAY

PROTECT:

The PROTECT indicator lights up permanently if the system is overloaded or overheats. The integrated amplifiers are automatically muted. After reaching normal operating conditions, the unit returns to normal operating mode after a few minutes and the PROTECT indicator goes out.

LIMIT:

Lights up when the speaker system is operated in the upper limit range. A short flash of the LIMIT display is not critical. To protect the system, an excessive signal level is gently reduced by the integrated limiter. If the LIMIT indicator is lit for a longer time or continuously, reduce the volume level. Failure to do so may result in distorted sound reproduction and damage to the speaker system.

SIGNAL:

Indicator for the mixer sum signal. The signal acquisition takes place before the MAIN volume control.

POWER:

Lights up when the subwoofer is correctly connected to the mains and switched on.

FOLLOW:

Lights up when the column elements are not installed on the subwoofer. The two level controls MAIN and SUB as well as the Bluetooth unit are deactivated in this case. Use as a follower subwoofer.

HOLD TO LINK

Press the HOLD TO LINK button for about 3 seconds to put the internal Bluetooth module into pairing standby, by doing so you also disconnect from a previously paired device. The Bluetooth symbol flashes for the duration of the pairing readiness. Activate Bluetooth on your playback device (smartphone, tablet, etc.) and select MAUI 11G3 or MAUI 28G3 in the Bluetooth menu. Pairing now takes place automatically; as soon as the devices are paired, the Bluetooth symbol lights up permanently. Audio playback via Bluetooth can now be started.

CARDIOID ON / OFF

CARDIOID ON: With the help of another subwoofer (same model) and the Cardioid function, a subwoofer array with directional radiation can be realised. The follower subwoofer is placed upright and turned horizontally by 180° directly next to the main subwoofer (MAIN). Activate the Cardioid function in the follower subwoofer (CARDIOID ON, see wiring example 3).

CARDIOID OFF: Deactivate the cardioid function in the follower subwoofer (CARDIOID OFF) and place it upright in the same orientation directly next to the main subwoofer (MAIN).

COOLING FINS

To prevent damage to the unit, do not cover the cooling fins on the back and ensure that air can circulate freely.

CARE, MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR

To ensure the proper functioning of the unit in the long term, it must be regularly maintained and serviced as required. The need for care and maintenance depends on the intensity of use and the environment. We generally recommend a visual inspection before each commissioning. Furthermore, we recommend that you carry out all the maintenance measures listed below every 500 hours of operation or, in the case of less intensive use, after one year at the latest. Defects caused by insufficient care may result in

limitations of the warranty claims.

CARE (CAN BE CARRIED OUT BY THE USER)

WARNING! Before carrying out any maintenance work, disconnect the power supply and, if

possible, all connections to the unit.

NOTE! Improper care can lead to impairment or even destruction of the unit.

1. Housing surfaces must be cleaned with a clean, damp cloth. Make sure that no moisture can

penetrate the unit.

2. Air inlets and outlets must be regularly cleaned of dust and dirt. If compressed air is used, make

sure that damage to the unit is prevented (e.g. fans must be blocked for this case).

3. Cables and plug contacts must be cleaned regularly and freed from dust and dirt.

4. In general, no cleaning agents, disinfectants or agents with an abrasive effect may be used for

maintenance, otherwise the surface finish is likely to be impaired. Especially solvents, such as alcohol, can impair the function of housing seals.

5. Units should generally be stored in a dry place and protected from dust and dirt.

MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR (BY QUALIFIED PERSONNEL ONLY)

DANGER! There are live components in the unit. Even after disconnecting from the mains,

residual voltage may still be present in the unit, e.g. due to charged capacitors.

authorised by the manufacturer. If in doubt, contact the manufacturer.

MONTAGE UND VERKABELUNG

GEFAHR: Stellen Sie das Lautsprechersystem stets an einer geeigneten Stelle auf einen

ausreichend tragfähigen, ebenen und waagerechten Untergrund. Stellen Sie sicher, dass das Lautsprechersystem z.B. nicht von einer Bühnenkante fallen kann (z.B. durch Vibration). Es besteht die Gefahr, dass nicht korrekt aufgebaute und positionierte Geräte um- bzw. herabfallen. Dadurch können Personen schwer verletzt oder getötet werden.

GEHÄUSEMATERIAL

Die LD Systems MAUI 11 G3 und MAUI 28 G3 Säulensysteme bestehen jeweils aus drei Komponenten:

Der Subwoofer mit integrierter Elektronik für alle Systemkomponenten.

Das untere Säulenelement mit den Anschlüssen auf der Unter- und Oberseite (Lower Column – LC).

Das obere Säulenelement mit dem Anschluss auf der Unterseite (Upper Column – UC)..

Stellen Sie den Subwoofer an der gewünschten Stelle auf, stecken das untere Säulenelement (LC) auf das Verbindungselement auf der Oberseite des Subwoofers 1 und danach das obere Säulenelement (UC) auf das untere Säulenelement 2. Führungsbolzen aus rostfreiem Edelstahl erleichtern dabei die korrekte Montage und gewährleisten gleichzeitig sicheren Halt. Die Versorgung der Säulenelemente mit den entsprechenden Audiosignalen erfolgt automatisch beim Zusammenstecken der Systemekomponenten durch Custom Made Multipin Steckverbinder.

STATUS ANZEIGE

PROTECT:

Die PROTECT-Anzeige leuchtet permanent, falls das System überlastet wird bzw. überhitzt. Die integrierten Verstärker werden dabei automatisch stummgeschaltet. Nach Erreichen normaler Betriebsbedingungen wechselt das Gerät nach einigen Minuten wieder in den normalen Betriebsmodus und die PROTECT-Anzeige erlischt.

LIMIT:

Leuchtet auf, wenn das Lautsprechersystem im oberen Grenzbereich betrieben wird. Ein kurzes Aufleuchten der LIMIT-Anzeige ist dabei unkritisch. Um das System zu schützen, wird ein überhöhter Signalpegel vom integrierten Limiter sanft heruntergeregelt. Leuchtet die LIMIT-Anzeige länger oder dauerhaft, reduzieren Sie den Lautstärkepegel. Eine Nichtbeachtung kann zu einer verzerrten Klangwiedergabe und zur Beschädigung des Lautsprechersystems führen.

SIGNAL:

Indikator für das Mischpult Summensignal. Die Signalerfassung erfolgt vor dem MAIN Lautstärkeregler.

HOLD TO LINK

Drücken Sie den Taster HOLD TO LINK für circa 3 Sekunden, um das interne Bluetooth-Modul in Koppelbereitschaft zu bringen, die Verbindung zu einem zuvor gekoppelten Gerät wird dabei getrennt. Für die Dauer der Koppelbereitschaft blinkt das Bluetooth-Symbol. Aktivieren Sie Bluetooth auf Ihrem Zuspielgerät (Smartphone, Tablet usw.) und wählen im Bluetooth-Menü MAUI 11G3 bzw. MAUI 28G3 aus. Die Kopplung erfolgt nun automatisch, sobald die Geräte gekoppelt sind, leuchtet das BluetoothSymbol dauerhaft. Die Audiowiedergabe via Bluetooth kann nun gestartet werden.

CARDIOID ON / OFF

CARDIOID ON: Mit Hilfe eines weiteren Subwoofers (gleiches Modell) und der Cardioid-Funktion kann ein Subwoofer-Array mit gerichteter Abstrahlung realisiert werden. Der Follower-Subwoofer wird aufrecht stehend und horizontal um 180° gedreht direkt neben den Haupt-Subwoofer (MAIN) gestellt. Aktivieren Sie die Cardioid-Funktion im Follower-Subwoofer (CARDIOID ON, siehe Verkabelungsbeispiel 3)

CARDIOID OFF: Deaktivieren Sie die Cardioid-Funktion im Follower-Subwoofer (CARDIOID OFF) und stellen ihn aufrecht stehend in gleicher Ausrichtung direkt neben den Haupt-Subwoofer (MAIN).

KÜHLRIPPEN

Um Schäden am Gerät zu vermeiden, decken Sie die Kühlrippen auf der Rückseite nicht ab und sorgen dafür, dass Luft ungehindert zirkulieren kann.

Um die einwandfreie Funktion des Geräts auf Dauer zu gewährleisten, muss es regelmäßig gepflegt und bei Bedarf gewartet werden. Der Pflege- bzw. Wartungsbedarf steht in Abhängigkeit der Nutzungsintensität und -umgebung. Wir empfehlen generell eine Sichtprüfung vor jeder Inbetriebnahme. Weiterhin empfehlen wir alle 500 Betriebsstunden, oder bei geringerer Nutzungsintensität spätestens nach Ablauf eines Jahres alle unten genannten und zutreffenden Pflegemaßnahmen durchzuführen. ASSEMBLAGE ET CÂBLAGE

DANGER : Placez toujours le système de sonorisation dans un endroit approprié, sur une

surface suffisamment stable, plane et horizontale. Veillez à ce que le système de sonorisation ne puisse pas tomber du bord de la scène (en raison de vibrations, par exemple). Les systèmes qui n'ont pas été installés et positionnés correctement risquent de se renverser ou de tomber. Cela peut gravement blesser ou tuer des personnes.

CONSTRUCTION

Les systèmes de sonorisation en colonne LD Systems MAUI 11 G3 et MAUI 28 G3 se composent chacun de trois éléments :

Le caisson de basse avec électronique intégrée gérant tous les composants du système.

L'élément de colonne inférieur, avec les connexions en bas et en haut (Lower Column – LC).

L'élément supérieur de la colonne avec la connexion sur la face inférieure (Upper Column – UC).

AFFICHAGE DE L'ÉTAT

PROTECT :

L'indicateur PROTECT s'allume en permanence si le système est surchargé ou en surchauffe. Les amplificateurs intégrés sont alors automatiquement coupés. Après avoir rétablissement des conditions de fonctionnement normales, l'appareil revient en mode de fonctionnement normal après quelques minutes et l'indicateur PROTECT s'éteint.

LIMIT :

S'allume lorsque le système de sonorisation atteint la limite supérieure de ses possibilités. Un bref clignotement de l'indicateur LIMIT n'est pas critique. Pour protéger le système, tout niveau de signal excessif est atténué en douceur par le limiteur intégré. Si LIMIT s'allume de façon prolongée ou en permanence, baissez le volume sonore. Le non-respect de cette consigne peut entraîner une reproduction sonore déformée et endommager le système de sonorisation.

SIGNAL :

Indicateur de présence du signal (sommation mono du mélangeur). Le signal est mesuré avant son passage par le potentiomètre de volume MAIN.

POWER :

S'allume lorsque le caisson de basses est branché correctement au secteur et allumé.

FOLLOW :

S'allume lorsque les éléments de la colonne ne sont pas installés sur le caisson de basses. Dans ce cas, les deux potentiomètres de volume MAIN et SUB ainsi que le module Bluetooth sont désactivés. Ce mode sert à utiliser le caisson en complément d'un autre.

HOLD TO LINK

Appuyez sur le bouton HOLD TO LINK pendant environ 3 secondes pour mettre le module Bluetooth interne en attente d'appairage. Ce faisant, vous vous déconnectez également de l'appareil précédemment apparié. Le symbole Bluetooth clignote pendant la durée de la préparation à l'appairage. Activez le Bluetooth sur votre appareil de lecture (smartphone, tablette, etc.) et sélectionnez MAUI 11G3 ou MAUI 28G3 dans le menu Bluetooth. L'appairage s'effectue alors automatiquement ; dès que les appareils sont appariés, le symbole Bluetooth s'allume en permanence. Vous pouvez dès lors lancer la lecture audio via Bluetooth.

CARDIOID ON : En utilisant un autre caisson de basses (du même modèle) et la fonction Cardioid, vous pouvez créer une configuration directionnelle dans les basses. Le subwoofer de complément se place à la verticale, tête-bêche à côté du caisson de basses principal (

MONTAJE Y CABLEADO

PELIGRO: Coloque siempre el sistema de altavoces en un lugar adecuado, sobre una su-

perficie estable, nivelada y horizontal. Asegúrese de que el sistema de altavoces no pueda caerse por el borde del escenario (debido a las vibraciones, por ejemplo). Existe el riesgo de que los equipos que no se hayan montado y colocado correctamente se caigan o vuelquen. Esto puede provocar graves lesiones o incluso la muerte.

CONSTRUCCIÓN

Los sistemas de columna MAUI11G3 y MAUI28G3 de LDSystems constan cada uno de tres componentes:

El subwoofer con la electrónica necesaria para todos los componentes del sistema.

La columna inferior (LC) con las conexiones en la parte inferior y superior.

La columna superior (UC) con las conexiones en la parte inferior.

Coloque el subwoofer en la ubicación deseada, conecte la columna inferior (LC) en el elemento de conexión de la parte superior del subwoofer 1; a continuación, conecte la columna superior (UC) sobre la columna inferior 2. INDICADORES DE ESTADO

PROTECT:

El indicador PROTECT se iluminará de forma fija si hay sobrecarga o sobrecalentamiento del sistema. Los amplificadores integrados se silencian automáticamente. Tras volver a las condiciones normales de funcionamiento, el equipo volverá a estar operativo al cabo de unos minutos y el indicador PROTECT se apagará.

LIMIT:

El indicador LIMIT se ilumina cuando el sistema de altavoces está al nivel máximo. Un breve parpadeo del indicador LIMIT no es crítico. Para proteger el sistema, el limitador integrado reduce los niveles excesivos de señal. Si el indicador LIMIT se ilumina durante más tiempo o de forma continua, reduzca el volumen. Si no lo hace, es posible que la reproducción del sonido esté distorsionada y que se dañe el sistema de altavoces.

SIGNAL:

Indicador de la señal de suma del mezclador. La señal para este indicador se toma antes del control de volumen MAIN.

POWER:

Se ilumina cuando el subwoofer está correctamente conectado a la red eléctrica y encendido.

FOLLOW:

Se enciende cuando los elementos de columna no están instalados en el subwoofer. En este caso, se desactivarán los dos controles de nivel MAIN y SUB, así como el módulo Bluetooth. Utilícelo en el segundo subwoofer.

HOLD TO LINK

Pulse el botón HOLD TO LINK durante unos 3segundos para poner el módulo Bluetooth interno en modo En espera de emparejamiento; al hacerlo también se desconectará de cualquier dispositivo emparejado previamente. Collocare sempre il sistema di diffusori in una posizione adeguata, su una superficie sufficientemente stabile, piana e orizzontale. Assicurarsi che il sistema di diffusori non possa cadere dal bordo del palco (ad esempio, a causa delle vibrazioni). C'è il rischio che le unità che non sono state allestite e posizionate correttamente cadano o si ribaltino. Ciò può causare infortuni gravi o mortali.

COSTRUZIONE

I sistemi a colonna MAUI11G3 e MAUI28G3 di LD Systems sono costituiti ciascuno da tre componenti:

Il subwoofer con elettronica integrata per tutti i componenti del sistema.

L'elemento della colonna inferiore con i collegamenti in basso e in alto (Colonna Inferiore – LC).

L'elemento della colonna superiore con il collegamento nella parte inferiore (Colonna Superiore – UC).

Collocare il subwoofer nella posizione desiderata, inserire l'elemento di colonna inferiore (LC) nell'elemento di collegamento sulla parte superiore del subwoofer

e poi l'elemento di colonna superiore (UC) nell'elemento di colonna inferiore 2. Le viti di guida in acciaio inox facilitano il montaggio corretto e assicurano allo stesso tempo una tenuta sicura. Gli elementi della colonna vengono alimentati automaticamente con i segnali audio corrispondenti quando i componenti del sistema vengono collegati tra loro mediante connettori multipin personalizzati.
