New Steam Wand Assembly on GB/5s and FB/80s

Dear La Marzocco Family Member,

Herewith we would like to inform you about the latest modifications on our machines:

1) Beginning with machine SN# 2487, ALL GB/5 and FB/80 models will be equipped with a new steam wand
valve assembly, inclusive of a built-in anti-suction valve. SEE IMAGE BELOW

This feature will avoid the milk suction effect caused by a pressure drop in the boiler occurring after the
frothing phase. The anti-suction valve will automatically divert the milk drops sucked through the wand and
discharge them into the drain box.

Furthermore, the new and particular shape of the

steam valve body (A.1.001.01) allows you to grasp it easily

with a wrench in order to unlock the steam wand adaptor (A.1.005) and change the wand effortlessly.

NOTE: The previous code for the old standard steam wand valve was B1.001.

In order to update a machine you need to get the kit # B1.001.X which consists in:

The anti-suction drain pipe must be connected to the new part# F.1.002.01 drain box.

2) Another important feature introduced with machine SN# 2487 is the PT1000

(part# E.1.005)

temperature probe also on the steam boiler, which will definitively substitute the pressure switch (see
drawing here below). This modification will also imply a CPU change which is subsequently updated to
part #
