When upgrading the firmware or replacing a boar, please upgrade each kind of the firmware (PACK of MAIN
FRAME/ENHANCEMENT) to the latest version at the same time.
*1) Please make sure to upgrade the MAIN and MMI firmware at the same time. If the firmware is individually upgraded, the
CF000 error message may appear which cannot be cleared at the customer site.
*2) Please note that the default value of U327 (Setting Cassette Heater Control) will be reset to OFF in case that the firmware
was upgraded to the version 004.001 or later from the older version. For more details, please refer to the Service Bulletin SB2H7-0012-8746.

Remarks
U010 to change PIN code of the maintenance mode was added to the
previous version.
However, it could not be initialized from the normal maintenance mode.
Therefore, the following change was made to enable it.
[Change]
"Initialize" button was added to the operation panel to enable the
initialization.
1. The control of reverse rotation of the developer unit was added.
(New firmware can distinguish the corresponding Bk developer unit
and operate accordingly.)
2. The operational interval of reverse rotation of the developer unit
changed. (Initial: 2 min.)
"Interval Time" was added to U147 so that the following items can
be selected.
"Interval Time"
0: No reverse rotating 1: 1 min. 2: 2 min. 3: 5 min.
Attention)
Please do not set to "0" if the Bk developer unit to prevent the toner
from falling off is installed.
As for the prevention of toner falling off, another service bulletin will be
issued later.
1. The calculation method for the target value of Bk calibration was
improved.
(Improved state is set as "1: Standard" at Bk Density”.)
2. "BK Density" was added to U147 to enable change the target value
of Bk density setting. (Please change the setting from "1" to "0"
density becomes low.)
"BK Density" 1: Standard (Initial) -> 0: Current target value
In order to prevent foggy background, the calculation method for the
target value of the toner layer thickness calibration was improved.
