Phenomenon The PWB IPS assy 302H794040 may be damaged or a connection failure may occur, after error

code C0940 is indicated.

Details The function of the PWB IPS assy can also be implemented by upgrading the rmware to version

6.00 or later.

Therefore this part has been discontinued and error code C0940 has been eliminated.

Solution 1. Remove the PWB IPS assy from the main board.

2. Upgrade the rmware to version 6.00 or later.

*1. Upgrade the main and MMI rmware at the same time, to prevent error code CF000.
*2. Please note that the default value of the cassette heater at maintenance mode U327 will be
reset to “OFF”, after upgrading to version 004.001 or later.
See service bulletin 2H7-006 for further details.
*3. Perform AC colour calibration at the maintenance mode U464 (set ID adjustment mode) after
upgrading to version 006.009 or later.
*4. Please upgrade the fax boot, fax APL and fax IPL rmware to version 001.016, before
upgrading the fax APL rmware to version 002.001.
This will not be necessary when upgrading to pack version 5.00 or later.
