Developer unit B was developed to prevent BK toner smudge on the print-out (Refer to service bulletin 2H7-050 for further details). Therefore the maintenance kit with the developer unit B has been bundled with the seal set for the drum unit.

Note

1. Please clean the developer unit within the maintenance cycle.

2. Drive sound may arise due to the developer side coupling at reverse rotation of the developer drive.

The above mentioned changes have been applied to machines produced after the above mentioned production date.

Entire stock rework

1. Upgrade the rmware as follows:

• TASKalfa250ci/300ci/400ci/500ci to Firmware pack V12.00 or later.

• TASKalfa552ci to Firmware pack V5.00 or later. Note Service call error C7401 (Developer unit K type mismatch error) may occur, when installing the

BK Developer unit B without upgrading the rmware to the above mentioned level.

2. Replace the developer unit with the latest type (BK Developer unit B).

3. Afx the sponges and the seal to the drum unit.
