Content of changes

1 The Elatec ID card reader is now supported.

2 Maintenance mode U010 (Set Maintenance Mode ID) has been added to change the ID.

3 The “Digital dot coverage” mentioned on the service status page has been changed to “Print coverage”.

4 The “All clear” setting has been added to the coin vender installation setting of [No coin action] at maintenance

mode U206.

5 The Extended Authentication function has been added to the Copy screen, Sending screen and the Colour

mode setting screen etc.

6 The print position of the machine serial number on the sample pattern of U089 has been changed.

7 The charge counter data will be returned to the EEPROM with the machine serial number, in case the error

code C0180 is cleared by executing maintenance mode U004 (Setting the machine number) if the EEPROM
does not perform properly.

8 The trailing edge of the paper may wrap around the Fuser unit when paper jam 51 occurs.

9 In rare cases the “Toner empty“ message may be displayed while the “Toner near end“ message is skipped.

10 The MODE0 that reviews the T7 disposal amount from MODE1 has been added to maintenance mode U147.

11 Maintenace mode U464 has been changed to prevent colour doughnut dots on the image.

12 The developer drive time has been decreased to prevent deterioration of the carrier/toner.

13 The measure to prevent the drum cleaning failure has been improved.

14 The measure to prevent colour background on the image has been implemented.

15 The measure to prevent the Primary transfer belt cleaning failure has been implemented.

16 The Fax scanner counter has been changed.

17 Paper jam 51 may occur.

18 When using the optional NIC by SEH, the PCL error may occur when printing PDF les.

19 The system error may occur when printing PDF les directly from the machine.

20 The BIG5 characters may be skipped when printing data from the CF card.

21 The characters and the ruled line may be skipped when printing forms.

22 Error code F46F may occur when printing PDF les directly from the machine.

23 The logo may be skipped when printing the second sheet.

24 The diagonal line inside the frame line may appear on printed PS forms.

25 The framed lines and the ruled lines may be skipped when printing PCL forms.

26 The image may be partly lled in black when printing PCL macro data.

27 When a paper cassette has been selected, the machine may select another paper cassette with the same paper

size automatically if the selected paper cassette is empty unless media types are set differently.

28 The characters may be skipped when printing PCL data.

29 The font may be printed with an improper width when printing macro data.

30 The print failure may occur, when outputting PS data.

31 The available trial time of the Card Authentication kit may be set to “0“.

32 An error message may be displayed when turning on the [Local authentication] at the Command center.

33 The image pattern may be improperly printed, when printing Illustrator CS3 les from Apple

Macintosh computers.

34 The message “Cannot recognize the ID card reader” may be displayed as the sub message when the IC card

reader is not connected.

35 Error code CF245 may occur after printing the received I-fax data.

36 The [All clear] key at the maintenance mode U911 has been discontinued.

37 Connection failure with the Mail server may occur when turning ON the main switch.

38 The print failure may occur, when printing PDF les directly from the USB memory.

39 Error code CF46F may occur when printing Vector works les.

40 Originals of 85 pages or more may not be transmitted when using the DBA function.

41 Error code U19000/E19000 may occur when receiving the fax.

42 Paper jam87/88 may occur when printing the mixed sized sheets to the nisher.
