Phenomenon When excessive electrical current is impressed by the short circuit in the Waste toner motor,
the Engine PWB may be damaged or error code C2810 (Waste toner motor error) may
appear.
Solution The following changes have been made to the Waste toner motor (Parts ICL motor unit):
1. The margin for the frictional wear of the brush has been improved by changing the motor
to another type. (Other manufacturer).
2. Due to the above mentioned change, the following changes have been made:
2.1. The shape of the holder of the motor has been changed.
2.2. The wire alignment has been changed.

Note (*1): The old type of the Parts DC motor assy is still used as the toner replenishing motor (4 pieces.)
When replacing the Waste toner motor, please use the Parts ICL motor unit.
