Mode4 This mode is suitable for the
user with high colour printing rate and high mixed
printing rate in colour and
monochrome when printing
small amount. All printing jobs
are handled with the colour
process.
Auto According to the operating
status of the user, mode 1 to
mode 3 will be automatically
selected.
The mode will be determined
depending on the proportion
of colour to monochrome
and the switching rate in the
specic time period.
Auto mode details
This mode will be selected when continues printing (including 1 sheet print jobs) is completed after more than 1000
sheets have been printed since the last check.
Check criteria: The number of the colour printed sheets and number of the colour/monochrome switching times in
the specic time period.

Additional notes
The default mode 2 has been changed considerably since rmware version 7.00. When the originals are mixed
(colour and monochrome) the machine will operate in colour mode if up to 10 originals were continuously printed in
monochrome. Due to the above mentioned changes, it may be possible that the waste toner amount may increase
depending on how the machine is used. In this case Mode1 should be selected. This however may decrease the
productivity. Please note that new Mode1 setting functions in the same as way as Mode2 of older rmware than
version 7.00.
