Topic

The developer unit B to prevent BK toner smudge was registered as informed by the service bulletins SB-2H7-0080B010 and SB-2KY-0008-B016. This time, the maintenance kit including the developer unit B instead of the conventional developer unit was newly registered. (Along with it, the seal set for the drum unit is also bundled.)

1. Cleaning of the developer unit is required on your visit to the customer within the maintenance cycle.

2. The drive sound which was not recognized before is generated when the main unit and the developer side coupling are engaged at the reverse rotation of the developer drive.

Please note the following when using the new maintenance kit.

1. Upgrade the firmware to the Upgrade Pack of the applicable firmware version below. *The service call C7401 (Developer unit K type mismatch error) appears if using the developer unit B before upgrading the firmware.

2. Replace to the BK developer unit B.

3. Affix the sponges and the seal (No.7) to the drum unit. *Applicable firmware version: 500/400/300/250ci･･Pack Ver.11.00 552ci/C8500DN･･Pack Ver.5.00 Use of the BK developer unit B to prevent BK toner smudge accompanies the restriction. Therefore, please note the content above.
