Field Measures:
When the service call error C2770 appears, please replace the intermediate transfer belt unit with the new
one. Also, on your next visit, please affix the seals by applying the kit for the field measures (No.3) for the
machine with the old intermediate transfer belt unit.
When affixing the seals, please clean the affixing part with alcohol after wiping there with dry cloth. (For the
alignment, please refer to the pages 2 and 3.)
(Attention) Do not use air blow to clean the affixing part in order to prevent the toner from scattering.
Serial Nos. of the Affected Machines: Please refer to the pages 5 and 6.

This time, the description with (-->) was revised from the previous information.

Topic
When the belt skew sensor in the intermediate transfer belt is contaminated due to scattering toner, the service
call error C2770 (Transfer belt skew error) might appear since the sensor cannot control belt skew any more.
Therefore, the following changes were made.
Content of Changes
1) The seals are affixed in order to prevent the sensor in the intermediate transfer belt from being contaminated
by toner.
2) Accordingly, the seal kit (No.3) was newly set up for the field measures.
3) The tape and the spacer fixing the intermediate transfer belt unit for service were abolished since they may
contact the seals affixed as the change 1) above. Also, the leaflet bundled in the intermediate transfer belt unit
for service was revised according to this change.
