To be informed:
To several issues, we have created a modification kit containing the parts in the <Table.2>.
The Item code of each modification kit is described in the <Table.3>. (Each country has a different item code!)
All latest hardware updates since January are implemented in this kit.
For more details, please refer to the Service Bulletin SB-2KT-0019-D012.
We do not recommend ordering the modification kit in every case, but the price for the kit will be lower than the
parts ordered separately ,which makes the purchase more convenient.

When the bottom plate is lifted up by the
cassette feed drive, the lever (X) returns
for distancing from the cassette after
STOPPER rotates under its own weight,
and then the cassette paper feed starts.
STOPPER does not rotate since it is
hooked at the contact surface after the
bottom plate is lifted up, and the lever
(X) cannot return. As a result, no
paper feed jam (JAM0501) occurs.

Topic:
Depending on the backlash in the cassette length direction, the 250-sheet cassette is incompletely inserted into the
machine and the cassette feed drive can be driven in this state. (The bottom plate is lifted up when feeding the
paper from the cassette.) In this state, the STOPPER HOOOK on the cassette rear side might be hung at the lever
holding the paper (X in the figure below) of the machine inside at their contact surface. Accordingly, the STOPPER
HOOK does not rotate by its own weight while the bottom plate is lifted up to feed the paper, and the lever (X)
cannot return and continues to hold the paper, which might cause the no paper feed jam (JAM0501).
Content of Changes
The shape of the STOPPER HOOK (No.2) was changed and the SPRING STOPPER HOOK (N) was added in
order to improve the operability of the STOPPER HOOK when feeding paper from the cassette with the bottom
plate lifted up.

screwdriver and remove the stop ring in
the direction of the arrow as shown in
the figure.

Attach the new STOPPER HOOK
ASSY to the cassette rear side.
At that time, put the edge of the
SPRING onto the cassette’s base.

Reinsert the shaft removed in the
procedure 5 and fix the new STOPPER
HOOK ASSY.
Note the following points when
reinserting the shaft.
1) Confirm that the gear attached to the
shaft’s right edge is engaged with
the bottom plate drive gear.
