Field Measure:
Please replace 4 pcs. of the RATCHET SHUTTER with No.1 when the phenomenon described below occurs.
At the same time, please clean the HOLDER JOINT (No.2 registered as service part) or replace it with the
new part if it is contaminated by toner.
If the HINGE LID R or the HINGE LID L is damaged, please replace them with the new parts (302KV0254_ or
302KV0253_: 2 or later as the last digit of the part number). (This process is applied to FS-C2026MFP / FSC2126MFP with the serial number indicated in the table on the page 4.)
(Note1) Please refer to another document [Procedure for replacing with the corrective parts] (File name is
“Procedure_D012_2KT_0019_E”) for the procedure how to replace the parts above.
(Note2) Along with this process, it is recommended to replace other corrective parts in the related sections.

To be informed:
To several issues, we have created a modification kit containing the parts in the <Table.2>.
The Item code of each modification kit is described in the <Table.3>. (Each country has a different item code!)
All latest hardware updates since January are implemented in this kit.
For more details, please refer to the Service Bulletin SB-2KT-0019-D012.
We do not recommend ordering the modification kit in every case, but the price for the kit will be lower than the
parts ordered separately ,which makes the purchase more convenient.

Phenomenon
It is sometimes difficult to fully open the top tray. Also, the HINGE LID R/L at the fulcrum parts of the top tray might
be damaged in a rare case if the top tray is forcibly pushed up to fully open it. (The HINGE damage might occur on
a part of FS-C2026MFP/C2126MFPs only. Please refer to the serial number tables on the page 4.)
Causes
The operation of fully opening of the top tray might be tough due to the loads generated when the joint X engaging
with the cam Y switching the toner container's shutter is rotated and thrust by the RATCHET SHUTTER (No.1)
which rotates and thrusts the joint X in the main unit towards the machine right and left direction by interlocking with
the top tray's opening/closing operation.
Corrective Measures
1) The shape of the RATCHET SHUTTER (No.1) was changed so that rotation/thrust operation of the joint X in
the machine side will be smoother when fully opening the top tray.
2) The material of the HINGE LID R/L has been changed in order to increase the strength during the production
of FS-C2026MFP/C2126MFP.
(The FS-C2026MFP/C2126MFP later than the serial numbers listed in the table on the page 4 has been
already changed, and other models have been changed since the first production.)
