Please be informed that the firmware for the DF-600 / 610 has been upgraded as follows.

CONTENTS OF CHANGES

Firmware upgrade I. ‘1C’ → ‘3E’

Item Remarks

1 Operation of ‘test stapling’ after feeding new staples

has been changed as follows.

2 Preventing ‘LOWER CURSOR, MIDDLE TRAY’

from moving out of position.

Firmware upgrade II. ‘3E’ → ‘4F’

Item Remarks

Following operation has been made possible.

• When installing job tray and machine goes
back to default (‘auto clear’), the tray will return
to the ejection position to the main tray.

For test stapling, a sheet of paper is fed and stapled at 5
positions. Paper may jam because the stapling speed is too fast.
To prevent paper from jamming, the speed of stapling has been
slowed down.
To prevent the ‘LOWER CURSOR, MIDDLE TRAY’ from shifting
out of position, the ‘holding current’ is conveyed to the ‘MOTOR,
SIDE REGISTRATION’

Before change:

If machine goes into ‘auto clear’, tray will not move.
* Machine firmware ‘5G’ or later is required.

2 Preventing the rolling up of mylar on middle tray

when B4 size paper is stapled.
Following malfunction has been corrected.

• Main tray is in contact with saddle fold unit if

U240 (= ‘Checking the operation of main
motor’) is running.

4 Following operation has been made possible.

• If besides during a folding operation, the saddle

fold tray (cover) is opened, machine will not
detect this as a paper jam.

The conveyance of B4 size paper to be stapled on the middle tray
has been changed.

After correction:
When saddle fold unit is installed, main tray will exactly move up to
the detection sensor of 3,000 sheets loader and not any further.

After change:
When the ejected paper on the saddle fold unit is removed and
saddle fold tray cover is opened by mistake, copies can be taken.
