■Unpacking the Expanded Memory Unit

1.Check that the following accessories are available in the box.

■Installing the Expanded Memory

1.Turn off the machine and unplug the power cord from the machine.

2.Remove the lower rear cover

(seven screws).

2. Remove the expanded memory from its insulation bag.

NOTES

•The expanded memory is highly susceptible to static electricity. Before touching the expanded memory be sure to touch a metal object to discharge any static electricity from your body and clothes.

•NEVER touch any pins or other parts of the circuit board when removing the expanded memory from the insulation bag or inserting it into the socket.

3. Remove the upper rear cover (five screws).

4.Open the right door and remove the right rear cover (four screws).

5.Remove the shield cover (twelve screws).
