Antenna instaiiation
1 Check the installation location.
2 Wipe the area where antenna film ©,
amplifier unit©, and earth sheet is to be
placed with the included cleaner ®.
■ The paint work on the metal surface need
not be removed
■ Ensure that the glass surface is completely
dry before mounting element
^ If the glass is cold to ensure good adhesion
warm the glass with the cars windscreen
heater
Remove the backing (tag I) of antenna
film © horizontally and stick the
antenna on the front glass.
5 After sticking, rub the element on the
windscreen in the direction of the arrow
shown in the figure to bond it & remove
bubbles.
■ Remove the backing gently
■ Do not touch the sticky side of the
antenna film
4 Remove the backing (tag II) of antenna
film © vertically and stick the antenna
gently while applying pressure.

6 Remove the backing film (tag III).
■ Do not touch the feeder terminal of the
element. Also, do not apply any glass
cleaner.

Match thecontact tabsof the amplifier©
with the A on the antenna film © and
stick.
■ Do not touch the feeder terminal or the
sticky surface (adhesive side) of the
amplifier.
8 Remove the film covering the earth sheet
and stick the earth sheet on to the metal
part of the windscreen pillar.
Provide sufficient leeway for the earth
sheet so that it does not interfere with the
interior parts (front pillar cover).
Also take care that the interior parts do not
interfere with the amplifier ©.

9 Route the antenna cable down the pillar and
across the inside of the dash, to the head-unit
location
■ Use cable ties to secure the antenna cable to
the pillar at several locations.
Notes
Take the following precautions when routing
the antenna cable down the front pillar if
an air bag is installed.
Install the Amplifier part of the antenna cable
behind or away from an air bag or it's wiring
so that it does not interfere with the vehicles
safety systems.
The front pillar cover is secured with
a special dip which may need to be
replaced when the front pillar cover is
removed.
Contact your vehicle dealer for details
on replacing the front pillar cover and
availability of replacement parts.
Earth sheet
10 Final connection 8> antenna start-up
Plug DAB Antenna into botom
left hand port as shown above.
Select the DAB antenna power
Set "INITIAL SET" > "DAB ANT POWER" to "ON"
in STANDBY mode.
Push and hold the DAB button to auto tune all
available DAB stations
