It is recommended that luminaires are installed by a qualied electrician who should ensure the installation complies with the current IEE wiring regulations BS7671: 2008. Any broken or damaged parts should be replaced as soon as possible. JCC will not accept responsibility for any claims arising from a sub-standard installation. The light source of this luminaire is not replaceable : when the
light source reaches its end of life, the whole of the luminaire must be replaced.
Important User Advice and Installation Notes
Always switch off mains supply before tting or servicing. This luminaire is suitable for outdoor use. Select a suitable location for the bollard and ensure xing surface is at and even. If mounting to a pad stone - minimum recommended size is 300 x 300 mm. Use the base of the bollard as a template for marking the anchor bolt drilling points. If required for commercial applications,use commercial root mounting kit JC39444 . Do not install in areas that are near to continual running water or prone to ooding.
Anchor bolt Installation Procedure
1. Remove the base plate from the bollard by loosening the three grub screws.
2. Use the base plate as a template for marking the spacing for the three anchor points.
3. Ensure the power supply cable is fed through the centre of the base plate (minimum cable length required is 1.5m).
4. Secure the base plate to the xing surface ensuring level by using the to spirit levels located on the inner rim of the base plate.
5. Remove the head of the bollard from the body and pass the supply cable from the bottom of the body to the top.
6. Secure the body to the base plate using the three grubs screws.
7. Connect the input cable to the termination block in the head as shown in Fig1. and Fig.2.
8. Ret the head to the body and turn on power supply and test function.
Root mount kit Installation Procedure
1. Remove the base plate from the bollard by loosening the three grub screws.
2. Screw the three “L” bolts into the triangular plate supplied and place into prepared hole as shown in Fig.3. ensuring that it is level with the top of the hole opening by adjusting the thread length on the “L” bolts (“L” bolts are facing out as shown in Fig.4)
3. Place the bollard base onto the top and use the spirit levels on the base to assist with this. Once level remove the bollard base.
4. Ensure the power supply cable is fed through the centre of the triangular plate (minimum cable length required is 1.5m).
5. Fill the hole with appropriate cement/concrete to x the mount kit into place - allow to cure.
6. Secure the base plate onto the triangle plate and ensure cable is fed through the centre. Use nuts and washers supplied.
7. Remove the head of the bollard from the body and pass the supply cable from the bottom of the body to the top.
8. Secure the body to the base plate using the three grubs screws.
9. Connect the input cable to the termination block in the head as shown in Fig1. and Fig.2.
10. Ret the head to the body and turn on power supply and test function.
