Important remark : The led rope does only work in cooperation with a separate device, the LED MANAGER (to control
the rope light by DMX). It’s impossible to use the led rope light separately.

Beforeyou start using this unit, please check if there’s no transportation damage. Should there be any, do not use the
device and consult your dealer first.
Important: This device left our factory in perfect condition and well packaged. It is absolutely necessary for the user to
strictly follow the safety instructions and warnings in this user manual. Any damage caused by mishandling is not
subject to warranty. The dealer will not accept responsibility for any resulting defects or problems caused by
disregardingthisuser manual.
Keep this booklet in a safeplace forfuture consultation. If yousell the fixture, be sure to add this user manual.

SOME ACCESSORIES EXPLAINED:
POWER CABLE: this power cable is used to connect the rope light to the LED MANAGER. This can be done by
simplyconnecting the conductorsof the power cable with the colored conductors of the cables delivered with the LED
MANAGER.
MIDDLECONNECTOR:
Used to link 2 pieces of LED RGB rope light together.

SOME IMPORTANT REMARKS:
!!This LED RGBrope lightcan only be used together with the JB SYSTEMS®LED MANAGER !!
Don’t use lengthsover 30m, the internal conductors will be overloaded which will damage the ropelight!! (
With all LEDs switched on, this rope light consumesabout 2 Watts/meter.This means you can connect up to 150m on
1 LED MANAGER (75mon each output:2x 75m = 150m)
The rope light can be cut every 50cm (cutting marks available)
This product can be used inindoor and outdoorsituations, the maximum ambient temperatureis 45°C.

END CAP: Used to seal the end of a rope light.
MOUNTINGTRACKS (2m): Used to guide the rope light when it is installed on a flat surface. You will be come a
nicely alignedstraight rope light.

INSTALLING THE LED ROPE LIGHT:
You can install the rope light easily on any surface, we suggest usingthe optionalmounting tracks. Do NOT use lengths
over 30m, this may damage the internal conductors! When you have to install lengths over 30m, just split up the
installationin several individuallengths. Witha sharp cutting device (very sharp hobby knife or wirecutter) you can easily
cut the rope light on the cutting marks ( scissor symbol every 50cm) to split it up in several parts. See “how to make a
length of over 30m” for more info!

SIGN ON THE CABLE IS ON YOUR RIGHT
HOW TO MAKE A LENGTH OF OVER 30M ?
This is an example for 2 pieces with a combined length of 50m.
INSTALLING THE POWER CABLE:
The power cable comes together with a rope light connector that must be installed on the rope light first. Refer to the
pictures 1 and2 below.
Attention: the holes and pins are a little out of the center, make sure to insert the pins in the right way and push the
connector from the power cable as far as possibleon the rope light! Put the sealing ring back in place and tighten it well.

Strip the other end of the power cable and connect it to one of the two small cable assemblies that came with the led
manager. Refer to picture 3 for the corresponding coloursof the wires!

INSTALLING THE MOUNTING TRACKS:
Use a small hacksaw to cut the mounting tracks to the desired lengths. You can fixthem tothe surface using strong glue
or smallscrews. When all tracks are in place you just have topress the rope lightin the mountingtracks. Done!
LINKING 2 LED ROPE LIGHTS:
Remove the sealing rings on both sides of the middle connector and push the sealing rings over the 2 rope light ends.
Press the 4 sharppinsof the middle connector in the 4 conductor holes of 1 rope light.
Attention: the holes and pins are a little out of the center, make sure to insert the pins in the right way and push the
middle connector as far as possible on the rope light! Putthe sealing ring back in place and tighten it well. Do exactly the
same thing withthe other rope light end. Ready!

INSTALLING THE END CAP:
The end of the rope light must be sealed. To make it waterproof you must put some silicon on the inside of the cap
before youpress it on the rope light.

CONNECTING 2 ROPE LIGHTS TROUGH A CABLE:
When you want to connect 2 led ropes trough a piece of cable, you put 2 power cables to each other. You do this as
shown below ( watch the color code + rope markings! ) :
Blue Blauw/Bleu/Blau/Azul
Brown Bruin/Brun/Braun/Marrón/Marrom
Yellow-green Geel-groen/Jaune-vert/Gelb-grün/Amarillo-verde/Amarelo-verde
Black Zwart/Noir/Schwarz/Negro/Preto
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Once connected to the LEDMANAGER the device starts running.
In the event of serious operating problems, stop using the fixtureand contact your dealer immediately.
Important: Never look directly into the light source! Don’t use the effect in the presence of persons suffering from
epilepsy.
MAINTENANCE
Make sure the area belowthe installation place is free from unwanted persons during servicing.
Switch offthe unit and unplug the mains.
During inspectionthefollowing pointsshould bechecked:
All screws used forinstalling the device and any of itsparts should be tightly fastened and may not be corroded.
Housings, fixationsandinstallations spots (ceiling, truss,suspensions) shouldbe totally free from any deformation.
The mains cables must be in impeccable condition and should be replaced immediately when even a small problemis
detected.
