Precautions
• Operate your radio only on 3V DC with two AAA batteries.
Avoid storing your radio
• In a place where it is exposed to direct sunlight or close to a heat
radiating appliance.
• On top of other stereo equipment that radiates too much heat.
• Places that are dusty or lacking ventilation.
• Humid or moist places.
Notes on headphones
• Do not use headphones while driving, cycling, or ope rating any m otorized
vehicle. Wearing headphones may create a traffic hazard and is illegal in
many areas. Playing your headphones at a high volume while walking,
especially at pedestrian crossings, can be dangerous. Exercise extreme
caution or discontinue use in potentially hazardous situations.
• Avoid using headphones at a high volume. Hearing experts advise
against continuous, loud, extended play. If you experience a ringing in
your ears, reduce the volume or discontinue use.

Caution on Weather Resistance: This radio is designed so that it can be
used with slight exposure to r ain, snow, and other f orms of moisture , but th ere
are several instances requiring caution.
• Do not allow your radio to come in contact with large amounts of water.
• Do not immerse your radio in water.
If water should get on your radio or if it should fall into water, take it out
immediately and wipe it off with a dry cloth. The interior of the battery
compartment has no weather resistance. The battery may corrode, so wipe
out the interior of the battery compartment as follows:
• Open or close the battery compartment with dry hands in a place without
exposure to any water.
• Wipe off the battery and the inside of the battery compartment. Give
special attention to the contacts so that no water remains on them.

Using your arm band radio

Installing the batteries
To install batteries:
1 Remove the battery door located on the back of your radio.
2 Insert 2 AAA batteries, making sure that the + and – on the batteries
match the + and – inside the battery compartment.
3 Replace the battery door.

Low battery alert
If the battery charge is too low, parts of the LCD display flash. Press any
button to turn off the power and replace batteries.
An exhausted battery may leak and damage your radio or cause weak,
distorted or whistling reception. Replace batteries when required. When you
will not use your radio for an extended period of time, remove the batteries.
• Do not attempt to recharge, short-circuit, disassemble, heat, or throw the
batteries into a fire.
• Do not mix battery types (e.g. alkaline with zinc carbonates).
• Do not mix old and new batteries.
• Weak batteries can leak and severely damage the arm band radio.
• Dispose of batteries according to local environmental laws.
Using the arm strap
To connect the arm band to your radio:
1 Insert the arm strap through the hooks of the clip.
2 Press down one end of the Velcro® piece to secure it in place.
3 Insert the clip into the back of your radio, then slide the clip to lock it in
place.

To secure your radio to your arm:
1 Put your arm between your radio and the strap and adjust the length of
the strap.
2 Press down on the Velcro piece to secure in place.
To use the belt clip:
1 Insert the belt clip into the back of your radio, then slide the clip to lock it
in place.

2 Secure your radio to your belt by holding your radio (with belt clip
attached), then slide the belt clip onto your belt.
3 To release the belt clip, press the center lock, then slide the clip off of
your radio.

Switch to HOLD position to lock the buttons. A appears when the hold
function is turned on. Switch to the to unlock the buttons.

Operating your radio
Note: Make sure to turn the H OLD switch to position before you try to
operate your radio.
To operate your radio
1 Press and hold the band button to turn on.
2 Short press band button to select AM or FM.
3 To turn off, press and hold band button.
Note: Your earphone soft wire works as the antenna for FM reception.
You may need to extend the wire to obtain the best reception.
To listen to your radio:
1 Press the TUN UP or TUN DN button for less than one second to go to
the next radio station.
2 Press and hold the TUN UP or TUN DN button to scan for the next radio
station with clear reception.
3 Press the VOL + or VOL – button to adjust the volume.
Note: If your radio is receiving a stereo broadcast, (ST) appears on the
display.
To manually store stations:
1 Select the AM or FM band.
2 Press the TUN UP or TUN DN button to select the radio station you
want.
3 Quick press and release the MEM button. The M icon on the LCD
flashes.
4 Press TUN UP or TUN DN button to assign a preset number to the
station.
5 Press the MEM button again to store the station as a preset.
6 Repeat steps 1 to 5 to store additional stations.

Note: Autostore can automati cally store 20 FM and 10 A M radio stations
into preset numbers (erasing any previous preset stations).
To use Autostore:
1 Select the AM or FM band.
2 Press and hold the MEM button. The M symbo l on the LCD flashes . Your
radio scans and stores the strong est stations i nto preset num bers. When
the Autostore operation completes, your radio tunes to the first preset
number.
3 If you want to stop the Autostore operation, press any button.
To recall any preset station within the selected band:
1 Press the PRESET button. The station number flashes.
2 Press the TUN UP or TUN DN button to change to a different stored
station.

Limited 90-day warranty
Insignia Products warrants to you, the original purchaser of this Product, that
this product shall be free o f defects in material or workmanship for a period of
90 days from the date of purchase as follows:
1 LABOR: During the Warranty Period if this Product is determined to be
defective, Insignia will repair or replace the Product, at its option at no
charge, or pay the labor charges to any Insignia authorized service
facility. After the Warranty Period, you must pay for all labor charges.
2 PART S: In addition, Insignia will supply, at no charge, new or rebuilt
replacement parts in exchange for defective parts for the Warranty
Period. After the Warranty Period, you must pay all parts costs.
To obtain warranty service, you must take the Product with your original
receipt or other proof of purchase, either in its original packaging or
packaging affordi ng an equal deg ree of protection, to your nearest retail store
