Simply plug a USB cable into the printer and attach the other end to the USB port on the computer while the printer is in a Ready state and Windows Vista is up and running. The HP Color LaserJet 2550 PS driver will automatically be installed via Windows plugand-play.
Network Install
For a network install connect the printer to the network and power on the printer. Next, open the Control Panel in Windows Vista and click “Printer” (“Printer” is found under the Hardware and Sound heading). In the Printers section of the Control Panel select “Add A Printer” then select “Add a network, wireless or Bluetooth printer”. If needed the IP address of the printer can be found on the HP Jetdirect Configuration Page.
