Exercise caution while working
on the device as the TV contains
high voltage parts and supply. It
is possible to sustain severe
injury or death if you accidentally
touch the wrong parts. You must
disconnect the power supply
while servicing, reassembling, or
change parts. If you touch a live

Use only the recommended
components or components that
structurally identical to the

The TV uses special tubes and
tapes made from insulated
materials. Moreover, some
materials are kept from making
contact with the PWB for the sake
of safety. Internal leads are kept
from hot parts or high voltage
parts by means of clamps or
other measures. As such, you
must restored these parts to their
original conditions in order to
prevent electric shock or fire.
Every part (such as removed
screws, components, and wiring)
must be restored to their prior
conditions after servicing. Be
sure to check everything that was
repaired for damage or mistakes.
Also measure the insulated
impedance with a meg-ohm
meter to confirm that the
impedance value is more than 4M
ohm. If the impedance value is
less than 4M ohm, then electric
shock or fire may result.

PRECAUTIONS
● Cleaning the TV’s LCD screen panel
Before cleaning the TV, turn it off and disconnect the power plug from the power outlet. To prevent scratching or
damaging of the LCD screen face, do not knock or rub the surface with sharp or hard objects. Clean the screen with
a soft cloth moistened with warm water and dry with a second soft cloth. If it is not enough, then use a cloth with mild
detergent. Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaners.
● Cleaning the TV's cabinet
Use a soft cloth to clean the TV's cabinet and control panel. When excessively soiled, dilute a neutral detergent in
water, wet and wring out the soft cloth in it, gently clean the cabinet, and then wipe it down with a dry soft cloth.
Never use acid/alkaline detergents, alcoholic detergents, abrasive cleaners, powder soaps, OA cleaners, car wax,
glass cleaners, and so on. They will cause discoloration, scratches or cracks.

This specification applies to the 42.0 inch Color TFT-LCD Module T420HW08 V0 . This LCD module has a TFT
active matrix type liquid crystal panel 1,920x1,080 pixels, and diagonal size of 42.0 inch. This module supports
1,920x1,080 mode. Each pixel is divided into Red, Green and Blue sub-pixels or dots which are arranged in vertical
stripes. Gray scale or the brightness of the sub-pixel color is determined with a 10-bit gray scale signal for each dot.
The T400HW08 V0 has been designed to apply the 10-bit 4 channel LVDS interface method. It is intended to
support displays where high brightness, wide viewing angle, high color saturation, and high color depth are very
important.

This specification applies to the 46.0 inch Color TFT-LCD Module T460HW08 V5. This LCD module has a TFT
active matrix type liquid crystal panel 1,920x1,080 pixels, and diagonal size of 46.0 inch. This module supports

Firmware Upgrade
Step 1: Ready for F/W Upgrade
1.1 Prepare a USB memory (The file system of USB memory is FAT16 or FAT 32 best).
1.2 Copy the file (Take LE46S605 for example:
HTC_LE46S605_USA_ZR748-A2_PCB4491-D_V0.05_20110218_72DB.ecc) from your computer to the folder
named “USB Update " then copy this folder to USB memory root path, and remove it from computer’s USB port!
Note:
1) The version of this F/W is V0.05 .
2) Make sure there is only one F/W file in the “USB Update” folder.
Step 2: F/W Upgrade
2.1 AC ON TV(Power plug Figure 2.1/2.2)

2.2 Press the power key on the Remote Control or the right side of TV to turn on TV.

2.3 Plug the USB memory on the USB port on the side I/O port of TV.(Figure 2.5)

2.4 When TV detect the USB memory and display below Upgrade info (Figure 2.6), press “Left” & “OK” button(on
the Navigation Keys on the Remote control, to select “Yes” option to download F/W. Take LE46S605 for
example:

2.5 TV will upgrade automatically.
Note: When Upgrade on the process, please don’t Power-Off! (Figure 2.7)

2.6 When upgrade 100% and prompt for Upgrade Success info, remove the USB Drive and AC off and on to reset
TV.
Step 3: Check the F/W version and reset to default.

3.1 Press “MENU”+”1”+”9” +”9” +”9”+”SELECT” key to enter the factory mode (Figure 3.1).
Do the following steps rapidly:
1. Press “MENU”;
2. Press”1”+”9” +”9” +”9”;
3. Press “SELECT”
3.2 Check the F/W version on the fifth row of the factory mode info. If F/W version is incorrect, please check the
version of F/W in your USB memory, else let’s go to Step 3.3. Take LE46S605 for example:
3.3 If F/W version is correct, exit factory menu and do reset in OSD. Restart the TV last.

As the DDC data were included in the software, this model does not need a separate DDC upgrade.

1. Prepare chroma23291, or equivalent equipment.
2. Connect TV and equipment with a wire.
3. component source:
a. Set equipment: T310, P122(720x480@60Hz, SMTPE Bar).
b. Press “MENU+1999+SELECT” into factory menu, then press the item “Current Source” to “Component
mode”.
c. Press the item “Auto Color” and the process will show “Doing”.
d. Finish ADC and “Doing” will disappear.
4. VGA(RGB) source:
a. Set equipment: T137, P147(1024x768@60Hz, 16Gray).
b. Press “MENU+1999+SELECT” into factory menu, then press the item “Current Source” to “RGB”.
c. Press the item “Auto Color” and the process will show “Doing”.
d. Finish ADC and “Doing” will disappear.
