Sorgen Sie für ausreichende Belüftung des
Gerätes, indem Sie einen Mindestabstand von
10 cm zur Umgebung einhalten. Bedecken Sie
das Gerät nicht mit Zeitungen, Tischtüchern,
Vorhängen, etc.

Treten Fehlfunktionen auf, etwa wegen einer
kurzzeitigen Netzüberspannung oder wegen
einer elektrostatischen Aufladung, setzen Sie
das Gerät zurück. Ziehen Sie hierzu den Netz­stecker und schließen Sie ihn nach einigen Se­kunden wieder an.

Bitte beachten Sie beim Aufstellen des Gerä­tes, dass Oberflächen von Möbeln mit den
verschiedensten Lacken und Kunststoffen be­schichtet sind, welche meistens chemische Zu­sätze enthalten. Diese Zusätze können u.a. das
Material der Gerätefüße angreifen, wodurch
Rückstände auf der Möbeloberfläche entste­hen, die sich nur schwer oder nicht mehr ent­fernen lassen.

Verwenden Sie keine Reinigungsmittel, diese
können das Gehäuse beschädigen. Reinigen

STROMVERSORGUNG

Netz-Betrieb

Prüfen Sie, ob die auf dem Typenschild (an der
Unterseite des Gerätes) angegebene Netzspan­nung mit der örtlichen Netzspannung überein­stimmt. Ist dies nicht der Fall, wenden Sie sich an
Ihren Fachhändler.

1 Beigepacktes Netzkabel in die Buchse »AC ~«

des Gerätes stecken.

2 Stecker des Netzkabels in die Steckdose

Falls sich Batterien im Gerät befinden, wer­den diese bei Netzanschluss automatisch
vom Stromkreis getrennt.

Vorsicht:

Über das Netzkabel ist das Gerät mit dem
Stromnetz verbunden. Wenn Sie das Gerät
vollständig vom Stromnetz trennen wollen,
müssen Sie das Netzkabel ziehen.

Sorgen Sie daher dafür, dass der Netzstee­cker während des Betriebes frei zugänglich
bleibt und nicht durch andere Gegenstände
behindert wird.

Batterie-Betrieb

Sie können das Gerät auch mit handelsüblichen
Batterien (nicht mitgeliefert) betreiben. In diesem
Fall müssen Sie unbedingt das Netzkabel ziehen.

1 Batteriefach öffnen, dazu auf die markierte FläF-

che drücken und Deckel zur Seite schieben.

2 Vier Batterien (4 x 1,5V, Typ IEC, AM 2, LR 14,

C-Size) einsetzen, dabei die im Batteriefach
markierte Polung beachten.

3 Deckel auf das Batteriefach aufsetzen und an-

drücken.

Hinweise:

Setzen Sie die Batterien keiner extremen Hit­ze wie z.B. durch Sonneneinstrahlung, Hei­zungen, Feuer, etc. aus.

Entfernen Sie die Batterien, wenn sie ver­braucht sind oder wenn Sie das Gerät
längere Zeit nicht betreiben. Gehen die
Batterien zur Neige, erscheint und blinkt in
der Anzeige das Batteriesymbol. Dies funkti­oniert nicht, wenn das Netzkabel am Gerät
gesteckt ist.

Für Schäden, die durch ausgelaufene Batte­rien entstehen, kann nicht gehaftet werden.

Rundfunk-Programme (DAB und
FM) einstellen und speichern –
Erstinstallation

Wenn das Gerät erstmals an das Stromnetz an­geschlossen wird oder nach einem Reset, startet
das Gerät einen automatischen Programm-Such­lauf nach DAB-Rundfunk-Programmen und spei­chert sie in der Programmliste.

Danach sucht das Gerät nach FM-Rundfunk­Programmen und speichert zehn FM-Rundfunk­Programme auf den Programmplätzen (Presets)
1 bis 10.

Die Uhrzeit wird automatisch eingestellt.

1 Das Gerät mit »ON/OFF« einschalten.

– Anzeige: »WELCOME« und danach »SCAN«.

– Der automatische Programm-Suchlauf startet,

sucht und speichert die gefundenen Rund­funk-Programme.

– Danach schaltet das Gerät ab, die Uhrzeit

wird angezeigt.

DAB-Rundfunk-Programme
einstellen und speichern – nach
einem Ortswechsel

Sie können den automatischen Programm-Such­lauf erneut starten. Dies ist sinnvoll, wenn Sie das
Gerät an einem anderen Ort betreiben wollen
oder wenn Sie nach neuen DAB-Rundfunk-Pro­grammen suchen wollen.

1 Das Gerät mit »ON/OFF« einschalten.

– Anzeige: der Name des Rundfunk-Program-

mes, z.B. »B5 AKT«.

2 Automatischen Programm-Suchlauf starten, dazu

»SEL/i/ATS« drücken und gedrückt halten.
– Anzeige: »SCAN«.
– Der automatische Programm-Suchlauf startet,

sucht und speichert die gefundenen Rund­funk-Programme in der Programmliste.

Der Suchlauf nach DAB- und FM-Rundfunk­Programmen kann auch über das Menü
durchgeführt werden.

Dazu das Menü mit »MENU« aufrufen und

mit »SEL/i/ATS« bestätigen.

Den Menüpunkt »SYSTEM« mit »– TUNING

+« anwählen und mit »SEL/i/ATS« bestäti-

gen.

Den Menüpunkt »ATS« mit »– TUNING +«

anwählen und mit »SEL/i/ATS« bestätigen
(Anzeige: »N«).

Mit »– TUNING +« die Anzeige »Y« an-

wählen und den automatischen Programm­Suchlauf mit »SEL/i/ATS« starten.

DAB-Rundfunk-Programme auf
Programmplätze speichern

Nach dem automatischen Programm-Suchlauf
werden alle DAB-Rundfunk-Programme in der
Programmliste gespeichert. Ihre bevorzugten DAB­Rundfunk-Programme können Sie auch auf den
Programmplätzen (Presets) 1 bis 10 speichern.

1 DAB-Rundfunk-Programm mit »– TUNING +«

wählen.
– Anzeige: der Name des Rundfunk-Program-

mes, das angezeigte DAB-Rundfunk-Pro­gramm wird nach 1 Sekunde aktiviert.

2 DAB-Rundfunk-Programm auf einem Programm-

platz speichern, dazu eine der Programmplatz­tasten »1« bis »5« solange drücken, bis in der
Anzeige »STORED« erscheint.

Für die Programmplätze 6 bis 10 vorher
»+5« drücken.

DAB-Rundfunk-Programme ein­stellen und speichern – manuell

1 Programmquelle DAB mit »MODE/AL« wäh-

len.

2 Das Menü mit »MENU« aufrufen.

– Anzeige: »MANUAL«.

3 »SEL/i/ATS« drücken.

– Anzeige: zum Beispiel »I74.9 SA« (Fre-

quenz und Kanal eines DAB-Rundfunk-Pro­grammes).

4 Gewünschte Frequenz/Kanal mit »– TUNING«

oder »TUNING +« einstellen.

5 Frequenz/Kanal mit »SEL/i/ATS« bestätigen.

– Der Empfangspegel wird angezeigt, die

DAB-Rundfunk-Programme werden in der
Programmliste gespeichert.

6 Einstellung mit »MENU« beenden.

1 Programmquelle FM mit »MODE/AL« wäh-

len.

– Anzeige: »FM«, danach der Name oder die

Frequenz eines FM-Rundfunk- Programmes.

3 Gewünschtes Rundfunk-Programm einstellen,

dazu »– TUNING« oder »TUNING +« län­ger drücken.
– Der Programmsuchlauf startet und stoppt

beim nächsten Programm mit gutem Emp­fangssignal,

oder

»– TUNING« oder »TUNING +« wiederholt

kurz drücken, bis die gewünschte Frequenz er­reicht ist.

– Die Frequenz ändert sich pro Tastendruck

um 50 Hz.

4 Rundfunk-Programm auf einem Programmplatz

speichern, dazu »1 « bis »5 « solange drücken,
bis »STORED« angezeigt wird.

Für die Programmplätze 6 bis 10 vorher »+ 5«

drücken.

Die Option »DX« mit »– TUNING +« an-

wählen und mit »SEL/i/ATS« bestätigen.

Auf die normale Empfindlichkeit zurück
schalten, dazu die Einstellung wiederholen
und die Option »LOCAL« wählen.

Zeitformat für die Uhrzeit einstel-

Uhrzeit aktualisieren – automatisch

Die Uhrzeit wird automatisch aktualisiert, wenn
ein Rundfunk-Programm ein Zeitsignal sendet.
Sie können einstellen, ob die Aktualisierung von
DAB- oder FM-Programmen durchgeführt werden
soll oder Sie können diese Funktion ausschalten.

1 Das Gerät mit »ON/OFF« einschalten.

– Anzeige: z.B. »B5 AKT«.

2 Das Menü mit »MENU« aufrufen.
3 Menüpunkt »SYSTEM« mit »– TUNING +«

anwählen und mit »SEL/i/ATS« bestätigen.

4 Menüpunkt »TIME« mit »– TUNING +« an-

wählen und mit »SEL/i/ATS« bestätigen.
– Anzeige: »12/24 HR«.

5 Menüpunkt »UPDATE« mit »– TUNING +«

einblenden

1 Informationen zum aktuellen DAB-Programm

kurzzeitig einblenden, dazu »SEL/i/ATS«
wiederholt drücken.
– Folgende Informationen werden einge-

blendet:
Infos vom Programmanbieter (z.B. zum aktu­ellen Pogramm, Titel des aktuellen Stückes,
E-Mail-Anschrift), die Signalstärke, das Gen­re, die Frequenz des Programmanbieters,
Hinweise auf Signalstörungen (bei optima­len Empfang wird »ERR: 0« angezeigt), die
Bit-Rate, der Übertragungsstandart, Uhrzeit
und Datum.

Dynamic Range Control (DRC) für
DAB-Programme einstellen

Wenn Sie Dynamic Range Control aktivieren,
können Sie leise Passagen in einer lauten Umge­bung besser hören.

1 Das Menü mit »MENU« aufrufen.
2 Menüpunkt »DRC« mit »– TUNING +« an-

wählen und mit »SEL/i/ATS« bestätigen.
– Anzeige: »DRC OFF«.

3 Option DRC LOW oder DRC HIGH mit

4 Menü mit »MENU« abschalten.

Mains operation

Check that the mains voltage on the type plate
(on the bottom of the device) corresponds to your
local mains supply. If this is not the case, contact
your specialist dealer.

Tuning and storing radio stations
(DAB and FM) – first installation

When the device is switched on for the first time
or after factory reset, the Auto Tuning System will
start to scan the whole DAB bandwidth and store
in the program list.

The device will then scan the FM waveband and
store the first 10 radio stations as presets 1 to 10.

The time is updated automatically.

Sleep Timer

The device has a sleep timer which switches off
in radio mode at a preset time. It is possible to
adjust the sleep time between 10 and 90 minutes
in 10 minute increments.

Select the switch-off time for the
sleep timer

1 Press »ON/OFF« to switch on the device.

– Display: e.g. »B5 AKT«.

2 Open the menu with »MENU«.
3 Select the option »SYSTEM« with

»– TUNING +« and confirm by pressing

»SEL/i/ATS«.

4 Select the option »SLEEP« with

»– TUNING +« and confirm by pressing

»SEL/i/ATS«.
– Display: »OFF«.

5 Set the switch-off time with »– TUNING +«

and confirm by pressing »SEL/i/ATS«.

– Display: »≤« and the switch-off time.

Notes:

To check the remaining switch-off time press
briefly »SLEEP«.

You can set the switch-off time also by press­ing »SLEEP« (in 10 minutes increments).

Switch off the sleep timer

1 To switch off the sleep timer earlier, select in

the menu »SLEEP« the option »OFF« with »–

TUNING +«.

– Display: »≤« disappears.

– Display: actual software version.

4 Press »MENU« to end the display.

Delete the program list for DAB
radio stations

If you move to a different part of the country,
some of the radio stations which were listed may
no longer be available.

1 Open the menu with »MENU«.
2 Select the option »PRUNE« with »– TUNING

+« and confirm by pressing »SEL/i/ATS«.

– A safety confirmation is displayed.

3 Select the option »Y« (Yes) with »TUNING +«.

Note:

To cancel the function select the option »N«
(No) with »– TUNING«.

4 Press »SEL/i/ATS« to confirm setting.

– Display: »RESTART«.

5 Press »MENU« to end the setting.

– In the program list you will find only avail-

able radio stations.

Deleting all settings (Reset)

This function enables you to reset all the custom
settings back to the default settings. All setings are
lost when you do this.

1 Open the menu with »MENU«.
2 Select the option »SYSTEM« with »– TUNING

+« and confirm by pressing »SEL/i/ATS«.

3 Select the option »RESET« with »– TUNING

+« and confirm by pressing »SEL/i/ATS«.

– A safety confirmation is displayed.

4 Select the option »Y« (Yes) with »TUNING +«.

Note:

(No) with »– TUNING«.

5 Press »SEL/i/ATS« to confirm setting.

– Display: »RESTART«.

Software Update

You can install the latest version of the software,
if available.

1 Connect the device to a PC by means of the

socket located in the battery compartment.

2 Open the menu with »MENU«.
3 Select the option »SYSTEM« with »– TUNING

+« and confirm by pressing »SEL/i/ATS«.

4 Select the option »UPGRADE« with »– TUN-

ING +« and confirm by pressing »SEL/i/
ATS«

– A confirmation message is displayed.

5 Select the option »Y« (Yes) with »– TUNING

+«.
Note:

To cancel the function select the option »N«
(No) with »– TUNING +«.

6 Confirm with »SEL/i/ATS«.

– Display: »WAITING«.

7 Start the update program on the PC.
8 Once the software is updated successfully, re-

move the device from the PC.
