75248 RATCHETlNG HARD CABLE CUTTER
75348 CUTTER W/O SCABBARD
Never use this tool to cut electrically energized cable.
!
Severe or fatal injury may result.
Do not exceed these maximum cutting capacities for
this tool or tool damage will occur:
► ACSR power cable up to and including .556
► 500 MCM hard drawn electrical conductors 1.40 in. (35 mm)
maximum outside diameter
► 750 MCM soft drawn electrical conductors 1.60 in (40 mm) maximum outside
diameter
► Self-support (figure-8) telecommunications cable 1.74 in. (44 mm) with a maximum support
messenger size of .276 in. (7 mm).
When cutting, observe the following important directions:
► The cable must enter into the jaws of the tool exactly perpendicular (90°) to the cutting blades so
as to result in a circular cross-section cut.
► When cutting self-support cable, always orient the supporting strand so it faces the handles for
maximum leverage.
► If you encounter excessive cutting resistance, use a one click cutting cycle until the cutter moves
freely.
► Tighten the fulcrum nut periodically and keep the handle bolts tight. The tool will not operate
properly unless the fulcrum nut is torqued to at least 15 ft-Ibs. (20 Newton meters).

► Cable primario aéreo hasta .556 MCM ACS

► Conductor de cobre templado "50ft drawn" 750 MCM con 1.60 pulgada (40mm) de diámetro máximo exterior
► Cable de telecomunicaciones autosostenido de 1.74 pulgada (44mm) de diámetro con un tamaño
máximo de mensajero de soporte de .276 pulgada (7mm)
► AI cortar, favor observar las siguientes direcciones:
► El cable debe entrar dentro de las quijadas de la herramienta exactamente perpendicular (90°)
a las cuchillas, de modo que resulte en un corte circular en la sección.
► Al cortar cable autosostenido, siempre oriente el tensor de soporte de manera que mire hacia los mangos de
la cortadora para máxima fuerza del brazo.
► Si confronta resistencia excesiva para cortar, use el ciclo de corte de un cliqueo hasta que la cortadora
se mueva libremente.
► Apriete la tuerca del eje periódicamente y mantenga los tornillos de los mangos apretados. La herramienta
no operará adecuadamente hasta que la tuerca del eje sea ajustada a un mínimo de 15 libras pie (20 Newton metros).
