Severe or fatal injury may result.

A. Capacity of 2.25¨ for the 1000 MCM cutter and 1.50” diameter

for the 750 MCM cutter. Used to cut copper and aluminum
only. Do not use the tool on steel or ACSR wire.

B. If you encounter strong cutting resistance, use a one-click

cutting cycle.

C. This tool will not operate unless the fulcrum nut is torqued

to at least 15 lb-ft, so tighten when required.

D. Keep the blades and mechanism clean and oiled. We

recommend CRC SP-350 or an equivalent lubricant.

E. Keep the cutting edges sharp. Treat them as you would a good-

quality knife. Periodically open the blades all the way and hone
them as follows:

l Stone the wiping surface (1) flat near the edge using a flat

India stone or file.

l Stone the 35° angle (2) to remove any nicks.
l Stone very lightly on a 45° angle at (3) to remove any burrs.
