andrecordelectrocardiographicinformationfromadultandpediatricpopulations.
Basicsystemsdeliver3,6,12,or15leadECG’s,interpretiveanalysis,vectorloops,
andcanbeupgradedtoprovidesoftwareanalysisoptionssuchashighresolution
signalaveragingofQRSandPwaveportionsoftheelectrocardiogram.Transmission
andreceptionofECGdatatoandfromacentralECGcardiovascularinformation
systemisoptional.

healthcarepractitioner,bytrainedoperatorsinahospitalormedicalprofessional’s
facility.

CAUTION:UnitedStatesfederallawrestrictsthisdevicetosalebyorontheorder
ofaphysician.
RecordingECGsDuringDebrillation
Thisequipmentisprotectedagainsttheeffectsofcardiacdebrillatordischarge
toensurerecovery,asrequiredbyteststandards.Thepatientsignalinputofthe
acquisitionmoduleisdebrillation-proof.Therefore,itisnotnecessarytoremove
theECGelectrodespriortodebrillation.
Whenusingstainlesssteelorsilverelectrodesadebrillatordischargecurrentmay
causetheelectrodestoretainaresidualchargecausingapolarizationordcoffset
voltage.ThiselectrodepolarizationwillblockacquisitionoftheECGsignal.Toavoid
thiscondition,usenon-polarizingelectrodes(whichwillnotformadcoffsetvoltage
whensubjectedtoadccurrent)suchassilver/silver-chloridetypesifthereisa
situationwherethereisalikelihoodthatadebrillationprocedurewillbenecessary.

electrodeswithdebrillationrecoveryratingsasspeciedinAAMIEC124.2.2.4.(Refer

theclinicianshouldbeawarethattheoriginofamplitudevariationsisnotentirely
