Introduction
Thank you for purchasing this GBC® Pouch Laminator. Please take the time to study these instructions to ensure the best results out of your machine. The laminator heats up to operating temperature and retains its heat so you can continuously laminate your documents without waiting. The laminator provides a visual indication that it is ready to laminate. Turn off power and unplug unit when it will not be used for extended periods of time.
For best lamination results and performance, use only GBC pouches. Maximum pouch thickness is 3 mil/75 mic (legal size) and 5 mil/ 125 mic (4"x 6" photo size) pouches.
Your new laminator may emit a slight odor during the initial operation. It is normal and will diminish after a few hours of operation.
Operation
1. Remove unit from box and packaging.
2. Insert plug into electrical outlet.
3. Turn the unit On with the switch located on the
top of the unit (fig. 1). It will take approximately 4-8 minutes for the laminator to be ready.
4. Position the document to be laminated into a GBC laminating pouch, so that the document is aligned to the folded sealed edge and the right and left borders are equal (fig. 2).
5. When the ready light turns green (fig. 1), insert the pouch and its contents straight into the machine, leading with the sealed edge (fig. 3). Do not use with a carrier.
6. The laminated item will exit from the rear of the machine. Once the laminated pouch has stopped moving, it should be removed quickly from the back of the unit. This will help prevent unwanted jams and wrinkling (fig. 4).
7. Once you have nished laminating, it is recommended that you clean your laminator while it is still warm and running. (See Cleaning instructions.)
8. When nished, turn the unit off using the power switch located on the top of the unit (fig. 1).

Cleaning
WARNING: UNPLUG THIS PRODUCT BEFORE CLEANING THE EXTERIOR. WIPE EXTERIOR ONLY WITH A DAMP CLOTH AND DO NOT USE DETERGENTS OR SOLVENTS.
Your laminator box included a cleaning card that is to be used after each laminating session, prior to shutting off the machine. Adhesive may exit the pouch and stick to the rollers while laminating or if a jam occurs. The cleaning card removes this residue, keeping your machine in proper working order and extending its life.
1. Run the cleaning sheet through the machine two or three times.
2. Turn off the machine when nished laminating and cleaning.
Laminating tips
• DO NOT LAMINATE AN EMPTY POUCH.
• Never insert the loose end of the pouch
rst into the machine. This could cause the machine to jam. Always insert the sealed edge rst.
• Before laminating important or unique documents, always run a test pouch through the laminator using a similar type document.
• Do not attempt to do single sided lamination. This will destroy the laminator.
• As soon as hot lamination is completed, remove the lamination from the rear of the machine and place on a cool at surface for cooling to prevent the pouch from curling.
• Do not block the vent slots, this will cause the laminator to overheat.
• Do not cut pouches prior to lamination.
• Do not use with a carrier.
