Service

Special notice

Thank you, for your recent purchase of a GBC Pouch Laminator. Your new laminator may emit a slight odour during the initial stage of operation. It is normal and will diminish after several hours of operation.

Guarantee

Operation of this machine is guaranteed for two years from date of purchase, subject to normal use. Within the guarantee period, GBC will at its own discretion either repair or replace the defective machine free of charge. Temperature Setting Guidelines*

When laminating thin paper with light ink coverage, set the temperature dial at the low end of the range. Thick paper and heavy ink coverage require higher settings within the range. Temperature setting will vary due to the finish, chemistry and heat absorption properties of the material being laminated. If pouch is cloudy the first pass through the machine, adjust temperature higher and run through again. If waviness occurs, reduce the temperature. Always allow sufficient time for laminator to adjust to changes in temperature setting.

4Position the item to be laminated into a GBC laminating pouch, so that the document is aligned to the folded edge and right and left borders are equal.

5Insert the pouch and its contents straight into the machine, leading with the sealed edge (fig. 1).

6The laminated document will automatically exit the rear of the laminator. After the pouch has stopped moving, place it on a flat surface to cool before handling.

7When you are finished laminating, push the power switch to “OFF”.

Do not laminate an empty pouch.

Operation, cold lamination

Entretien

Plastification à chaud

Branchez l’appareil à la source d’alimentation adéquate.

1Positionnez l’interrupteur sur "MARCHE". Le voyant lumineux vert s’illumine.

Réglage de la température *

Si vous plastifiez du papier fin avec une couverture d’encre fine, sélectionnez une basse température. Un papier épais et une couverture d’encre lourde demandent des températures plus élevées. Le réglage de la température varie selon la finition ainsi que les propriétés chimiques et d’absorption de chaleur de la matière à plastifier. Si la pochette n’est pas transparente au premier passage à travers l’appareil, augmentez la température et repassez-la à nouveau. En cas d’ondulations, baissez la température. Attendez ensuite que la plastifieuse effectue le changement de réglage de température.

L’intérieur de la machine devient rouge lorsque la plastifieuse atteint la température de plastification.

Centrez le support à plastifier dans la pochette en l’alignant sur le côté fermé de la pochette et en veillant à ce que les bords, à droite et à gauche de ce support, soient égaux.

5Insérez la pochette et son contenu directement dans la machine - avec le bord fermé en premier (fig. 1).

6Le document plastifié sort automatiquement à l’arrière de la plastifieuse : posez-le sur une surface plane pour le laisser refroidir.

7Lorsque vous avez terminé, éteignez l’appareil en positionnant l’interrupteur sur “Arrêt”.

Ne plastifiez pas une pochette vide.

Plastification à froid

Branchez l’appareil à la source d’alimentation adéquate.

2Sélectionnez le mode “Froid”.

3Suivez le mode d’emploi inclus avec les pochettes Adhésives GBC ou d’autres pochettes de plastification à froid et sensibles à la pression.

Fonction anti-bourrage

Si la pochette ne sort pas de la plastifieuse (fig. 2)

2Pressez sur le levier d’éjection afin que le moteur sépare les rouleaux.

Retirez le document de la plastifieuse

4Nettoyez les rouleaux en faisant passer 2 à 3 fois la feuille de nettoyage fournie avec la plastifieuse. Si vous ne possédez pas cette feuille, vous pouvez utiliser une feuille cartonnée similaire adaptée à la largeur de travail de votre plastifieuse.

Betrieb, Heisslaminierung

Richtlinien für die Einstellung der Temperatur*

Beim Laminieren von dünnem Papier mit Bedeckung mit heller Tinte stellen Sie die Temperatureinstellscheibe auf den unteren Bereich ein. Bei dickem Papier und starker Bedeckung mit Tinte sind höhere Einstellungen innerhalb des Bereichs erforderlich. Die Temperatureinstellung variiert je nach den Eigenschaften von Beschichtung, chemischer Zusammensetzung und Wärmeabsorption des Materials, das laminiert wird. Wenn die Tasche beim ersten Durchlauf durch die Maschine wolkig ist, stellen Sie die Temperatur höher ein und lassen sie sie noch einmal durchlaufen. Wenn es wellig wird, muss eine niedrigere Temperatur eingestellt werden. Lassen Sie immer genügend Zeit verstreichen, damit sich der Laminator auf die Änderung der Temperatureinstellung einstellen kann.

4Bitte achten Sie beim Einlegen des zu laminierenden Dokumentes darauf, dass das Dokument so weit wie möglich an die geschlossene Kante anstößt. Der Abstand - zwischen Pouch und Dokument – muß auf der rechten und linken Seite gleich sein.

5Führen Sie die Tasche und deren Inhalt gerade in die Maschine ein, wobei die verschlossene Kante vorausgehen muss (Abb. 1).

6Das laminierte Dokument kommt automatisch an der Rückseite des Laminators wieder heraus. Sobald sich die Tasche nicht mehr bewegt, legen Sie sie auf einer ebenen Fläche ab und lassen sie abkühlen, bevor Sie sie wieder anfassen.

7Sobald Sie mit dem Laminieren fertig ist, bringen Sie den Stromschalter in die Position „Aus“.

Bitte laminieren Sie keinen leeren Pouch.

Betrieb, Kaltlaminierung

Schließen Sie das Kabel an eine geeignete Stromquelle an.

•Collegate la macchina ad una presa di corrente appropriata corrispondente al voltaggio richiesto.
