This kit provides the thermostat and hardware for use on TSF units only. The thermostat is a line voltage DPDT device with deadband. The thermostat can control two electric valves or one valve and one electric heat relay. Do not exceed the electrical rating listed in the table below. The kit should always be installed by trained service personnel. All wiring is the

Initial startup of McQuay equipment should be performed by McQuay certified service technicians. We also recommend that all service work be performed by McQuay certified service technicians.

1. Remove the two screws holding the front panel to the sub­base (see Figure 1), lift up on the front panel, and pull away from the unit. Set the front panel aside.

2. Remove the two screws holding the front access plate to the control box and set them aside.
3. Remove the six screws holding the top of the control box in place.
4. Pull the fan speed selector knob off the control.
5. Extract the two sunken screws holding the fan speed bracket to the top plate.
6. Add the thermostat control to the mounting bracket

using two (2) #6–32 x
/4" screws.
7. Reattach the bracket to the top plate.
8. Wire the thermostat in accordance with local codes and the National Electrical Code.
9. Neatly place the control label over the top plate and add the control knob (temperature control).
10.Slide the

⁄4" grommet over the bulb and place it in
the “U” slot of the control box.
11. Reattach the cover plate and front panel to the control box.
12.Using the thermobulb housing,

⁄8" grommet, cable ties, and housing clips, insert the thermobulb through the hole in the end panel approximately

⁄4" to sense the return air as shown in the
1 illustration.
13.Replace the front panel and test the unit operation.
14.Place the operating instruction label on the back
