GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS
DESCRIPTION: Wash control Model GRC-5000-_____________ shall be
furnished to replace electrical components for operation of the ventilator(s), pollution control unit(s) and/or duct sump(s), if specied. The electrical control shall include a programmable logic controller (PLC) for controlling all functions of the exhaust and supply fans, wash cycle, damper operation and internal re system. The control shall be capable of washing up to 5 groups of ventilators/pollution control units in sequence with a delay period between each group. The control shall include a programmable digital interface module that includes “Star t Fan”, “Start Wash”, programming buttons and a digital display that shows current operating mode. Programming features shall include 1) Setting length of wash cycles, 2) Setting the length of the delay between each wash group, 3) Setting automatic operation of Start Fan and Start Wash times for each day of operation, 4) Lockout of all operations for days not operating. The control shall be equipped with a battery backup to hold the clock and memory for programming functions. It shall also include volt-free contacts for interfacing exhaust and supply fans with a building management system (BMS) or other control circuits, and volt-free contacts for the re cycle for interconnection to the building re alarm or monitoring systems. The control shall include contacts to remotely Start and Stop the exhaust fans/supply fans and wash when interfacing with a BMS. It shall monitor “AutoStart” sensors mounted in the ventilator(s), if equipped, and automatically start the exhaust and supply fan(s) if cooking occurs when the fans are o and the temperature in the hood exceeds the thermostat set point.
