Bienvenidos a GAS-GAS

Nos alegra comprobar que se ha decidido por una moto GAS-GAS PAMPERA y le damos la bienvenida a la gran
familia de usuarios de GAS-GAS.
Estudie bien su nueva máquina. En ella se refleja la experiencia acumulada en la competición y que nos ha valido
la consecución de importantes títulos. Ahora usted dispone de una moto con la que, además de sentirse a gusto,
le ofrece infinitas posibilidades para con su destreza a la vez de ofrecerle la máxima seguridad.

Las instrucciones que siguen a continuación son el punto de referencia para el normal mantenimiento de su
PAMPERA, y que deben permitirle un funcionamiento estable de todos los elementos por castigados que estos
sean. Su concesionario GAS-GAS le ofrecerá en todo momento la información que precise.

La GAS-GAS PAMPERA es para disfrutarla, no se lo pierda.

Thank you for choosing a GAS-GAS PAMPERA motorcycle and welcom to the big family of GAS-GAS riders. please
get to know your new machine well, it is the result of our experience gained in competition, experience which
has won as important titles. You are now the owner of a motorcycle which, apart from giving you pleasure when
riding it, also offers you infinite possibilities with its agility while providing maximum safety.

The following instructions are reference points for routine maitenance of your PAMPERA, they should help you
to provide stable running of all of parts, however much they are used. Your GAS-GAS concessionaire will provide
you with whatever information you need whenever you need it.

Información general

Para el buen funcionamiento del
motor se recomienda 8 horas de
rodaje. Además es importante,
cada vez que se usa la moto, lle­var el motor a la temperatura óp­tima de funcionamiento.
Para la mezcla aceite-gasolina se
debe utilizar aceite sintético o
semi-sintético de 2T al 1,5%.

General information

To obtain the maximum perfor­mance of the engine, we
recommended 8 hours of running­in. It is also important to warm
the engine up to the right working
temperature every time you use
your motorbike.
A semi-sintehetic or synthetic oil
for twostroke engines should be
used for the oil-fuel mixture, with
a ratio of 1,5.

Cerciorese de que el número que figura en el batidor de la motoci­cleta coincide con el de la documentación.

The identification number on the frame steering head must coincide
with the ownership document(s).

El tapón para el vaciado del cárter del motor, está ubicado en la parte
inferior izquierda.
Un agujero en el protector del cárter permite una fácil ebacuación del
aceite.

The oil drain plug is located in the left rear of the skidpan (see illustration)

La posición del grifo de la gasolina debe figurar en sentido vertical
para el funcionamiento normal. Hacia adelante(reserva), atrás(cerrado).

The position of the fuel valve lever is: down for on, rearward off, foward
reserve.

Para reponer aceite, debe tumbarse ligeramente la moto e introducir
el aceite por el lado derecho del cárter.
Capacidad: 750c.c.(10W40).

The oil filler plug is located on the right engine case behind the rear
brake pedal (10W40) 750c.c. To refil it, the bike must be in a sligtly
tilted position.

Para el llenado de agua del circuito de refrigeración, usar una
mezcla de anticongelante de automóvil y agua destilada al 50%.

The cap for filling the cooling system is located under the fuel-tank.
Check the level frequently. Use a 50/50 mixture of quto antifreeze and
distilled water.

Engrasar la articulación de las manetas de embrague y freno con aceite
especial.

For smooth operation, lubricate the clutch and brake lever pivots, using
a especial oil.

La cadena secundaria debe ser limpiada y engrasada con asiduidad,
debido a su constante rozamiento y exposición a todo tipo de elemen­tos.

The drive chain shrold be cleaned and lubricated often, due to its constant
friction and its exposure to dirt and nud.

Para un suave funcionamiento del mando del gas se sebe angrasar el
manillar con una fina capa de lubricante y se debe mantener limpio
el interior del puño.

For smooth throttle control operation, the handlebar control should be
greased and the inside of the twist grip kept clean.

Es necesario controlar periódicamente el estado de la bujía.
La separación entre el electrodo y el arco debe ser de 0,6mm.

It is necessary to check the sparkplug often. Clean or replace if required.
The gap of the electrode must be of 0,6mm.

Para poder controlar la tolerancia del cable del gas, debe regularse
mediante el mecanismo que semuestra.

The throttle cable «Free Play» is adjusted as ilustrated.

Graduación del ralentí del motor así como la entrada de mezcla se
regula mediante los tornillos que se muestran.
Para la puesta en marcha del motor en frío es aconsejable la utiliza­ción del starter.

Adjust the air-fuel mixture as illustrated.
It is advisable to use the choke when starting the engine from cold.

Es importante el control periódico del filtro de aire. Para su limpieza
utilizar agua con jabón detergente, dejarlo secar y engrasarlo con aceite
especial para filtros.

Cerciorarse de la correcta colocación del filtro una vez limpio.

It is important to periodically clean the air filter element. Use only soap
and filter lid are positioned correctly and installed securely.

Be certain that filter and lid are positioned correctly and installed securely.

El mando del embrague debe estar regulado a la distancia necesaria
y la palanca no debe tener más de 5mm. de tolerancia.
Al igual que el embrague, la palanca del freno delantero debe estar
a la distancia ideal del accionamiento.
La tolerancia no puede superar los 10mm.

The cluth lever should be set at the necessary distance from the grip
and its free play adjusted to maximum of 5mm.
The front brake lever should also de set at the ideal position.
Its tolerance should not exceed 10mm.

Se deben verificar periódicamente el nivel del líquido de freno de los
dos depósitos. El delantero junto al puño del gas y el trasero junto a la
batería.

The brake fluid level in the two reservoirs should be checked periodically.
The front brake reservoir islocated next to throttle control and the rear
brake reservoir is next to the battery.

La tensión de la cadena debe permitir un oscilamiento de la misma en
la parte del tendor de 1,5cm.

The tension of the chain should allow it a movement of 1,5cm. at the
tensioner block.

Para el tensado de la cadena y el centraje de la rueda posterior, el eje
dispone de dos tuercas para su graduación.

There are two adjustment nuts on the rear wheel spindle for adjusting
the chain and aligning the rear wheel.

El enganche de la cadena debe estar colocado al contrario del sentido
de marcha.

The split link clip should be inspected often. The open end of the clip
should face away from the direction of the drive (see photo).

Es importante eliminar cualquier resto de aire del circuito de frenos.
Para ello ejerciendo presión mediante el mando en el circuito y aflo­jando los sangradores de las pinzas se puede eliminar cualquier resto
de aire.

It is important to eliminate any air in the braking system. This can be
done by operating the brake lever and loosening the bleed nipples on the
callipers.

Desmontar y limpiar periódicamente el surtidor principal después de
cada lavado, así como limpiar también el interior de la cuba del carbu­rador.

Periodically remove the float bowl from the carburetir and clean the
internal parts and passages.

Es preciso realizar una limpieza exhaustiva del carburador. Para ello
utilizar aire a presión.

Compressed air should be used to clean jets and passageways in the
carburetor body.

Es importante controlar el nivel de gasolina dentro del carburador.
Altura boya 18,5mm.

It is important to cleck the level of the floats in the bowl of the carburetor.
The measurement is 18,5mm. (see illustration).

La distancia entre las láminas y los topes debe ser de 3,5mm. en la
Pampera 250, y 5mm. en la Pampera 125.

The reed stop plate should be 3,5mm from the reed’s surface on the
Pampera 250, and 5mm. on the Pampera 125.

La tolerancia de funcionamiento del cilindro debe estar entre 2,5 cen­tésimas y 4 centésimas como máximo.

The cylinder/piston tolerance must be betwen 2,5 and 4 hundredtghs of
milimetres maximum.

Si el montaje del filtro de aire es correcto, en el pistón no deben
apreciarse arañazos.

If the air filter has been propely maintained the piston skirt will be free
of scratches and abrasion.

Para sacar la turbina de la bomba de agua del circuito de refrigeración,
sólo debe desenroscarse ésta, quedando el retén totalmente accesible.

After the removal of the turbina blade the waterpump seal is easily
accessible. The turbine can be easily remove by unscrewing it.

Para extraer el pistón, sólo es necesario sacar la fijación del émbolo.

To remove the piston, remove the circlips and gudgeon pin (see photo).

Después de muchas horas de utilización debe comprobarse el posible
desgaste de los discos del embrague.
La medida para un correcto funcionamiento es de 2,9mm.

After many hours of use it is possible for the clutch fiber plates to wear.
The ninimum thickness is 2,9mm.

Los muelles que conforman la prensa del embrague deben tener una
longitud entre 37 y 38mm.

The clutch springs should be 37mm. to 38mm. long (see photo).

El cuadro de mandos está compuesto por el contacto, velocímetro,
testigos de intermitencia, luz de posición y carretera.

The instrument panel consist of the ignition switch, speedometer, and
warning lamps for the indicators, the headlight and pilot ligth.

El desgaste de las pastillas de freno, tanto delanteras como traseras,
debe ser controlado periódicamente para poder disponer de una eficaz
frenada en cualquier circunstancia.

Periodically inspect the brake pads for wear. Clean the components and
replace the pads if required.

Comprobar asiduamente el buen funcionamiento del grupo de ilumina­ción y señalización.

Regularly check that the indicators and the lighs are working properly.

La Gas-Gas Pampera incorpora un sistema anti-robo, el cual se activa
girando la dirección hacia la derecha combinado con la acción de la
llave.

The Gas-Gas Pampera is fitted with an anti-theft system which involves
turing the steering to the rigth at the same time as turing the key.

Con el cuadro de mandos compacto y situado junto al puño izquierdo
se pueden accionar las luces, señalización, bocina y el botón de paro
motor.

The handlebar switches located next to the left hand grip operate the
lights, indicators, horn and the out-out switch.

Periódicamente se deben limpiar verificar y engrasar los ajustes de las
articulaciones de la parte inferior de la suspensión trasera.

It is important to periodically inspect, clean and grease the bearings and
seals in the rear suspension and swingarm.

Es importante desmontar y verificar periódicamente el estado de los
cojinetes y apoyos del basculante.

Periodically clean and lubricate the rear suspension linkage, and tighten
if necessary.

Verificar el estado de los neumáticos y la presión de inflado con cierta
frecuencia. Con ello se evitará un posible desgaste defectuoso.

Check the pressures ans state of the tyres regularly. This will ensure that
they do not wear in a defective way.

Nota: para seleccionar cualquier función es necesario que la moto permanezca parada unos diez segundos
Al cabo de un minuto después de haber seleccionado una función la pantalla se apagará automáticamente.
Se activará nuevamente pulsando la tecla MODE o poniendo la moto en movimiento.

Modo Trabajo.

Mediante la tecla MODE seleccionados esta opción. Pulsando START pasamos del estado desactivado (OFF) al estado
activado (ON) y viceversa. Cuando está en modo activado se visualiza permanentemente en la pantalla el
símbolo y se inicia la captura de datos y se realizan los cálculos para obtener la información que se visualiza en
la función Cronómetro, Distancia parcial, Velocidad máxima y Velocidad promedio.
cuando se pasa a (OFF) se detiene la adquisición de datos y los cálculos pero no se pierden los valores calculados,
pudiéndose visualizar seleccionando la función correspondiente.
Al activar nuevamente el mod trabajo (ON) se borran los valores anteriormente almacenados..

Cronómetro.

La función cronómetro visualiza el tiempo transcurrido desde la última activación del modo trabajo. Inicialmente
se muestran minutos y segundos. Transcurrida una hora se muestran horas y minutos

Velocidad máxima.

Muestra la máxima velocidad alcanzada durante el modo trabajo activado.

Velocida promedio.

Muestra la velocidad promedio alcanza durante el modo trabajo activado.

Distancia total.

Visualiza la distancia total recorrida desde la puesta en marcha del equipo por primera vez.
El valor acumulado se mantiene de forma permanente, incluso sin pilas, y es independiente del estado del modo
trabajo.

Instalación de las pilas

- Para reemplazar la pilas, proceder a liberar la tapa portapilas destornillando los dos tornillos traseros
del multifunción.

- Sustituir la pilas agotadas por las nuevas, conservando la misma polaridad tal como se indica en el grabado.

- Finalmente atornillar de nuevo la tapa (Fig. 2)

- Si el proceso anterior ha sido correcto, se encenderán momentáneamente todos los segmentos y leyendas
de la pantalla (Fig. 3) Tras unos segundos aparecerá el símbolo del reloj y la lectura a ceros (Fig. 4),
apagándose en unos diez segundos.

Velocidad instantánea.

Al poner en movimiento la moto aparecerá, de forma automática, la lectura de Km/h.
Mientras la moto este en movimiento, en la pantalla tendremos la lectura de la velocidad
instantánea (Fig. 5). Al detener la moto la pantalla permanecerá encendida durante unos diez segundos con la
indicación de cero Km/h. Al cabo de este tiempo, si no se ha reanudado la marcha, aparecerá en pantalla la última
función seleccionada con anterioridad. La pantalla se apagará totalmente al cabo de un minuto si en este periodo
no se reanuda la marcha o se selecciona alguna función.
Mientras se visualiza esta función no se puede seleccionar ninguna otra.

Puesta en hora.

Pulsar la tecla MODE hasta que aparezca el símbolo del reloj. Pulsando la tecla START los dígitos de los minutos y
el símbolo del reloj parpadearán, indicando que estamos en el modo de puesta en hora (Fig. 6).
Mediante pulsaciones breves de la tecla START se hará avanzar el indicador de minutos.
Mantenimiento pulsada dicha tecla el avance será automático, deteniéndose este al soltar la tecla.
Pulsando la tecla MODE parpadearán los digitos de las horas, procediéndose de igual modo.
Una vez seleccionados los valores correctos pulsaremos la tecla MODE para fijar dichos valores. Los dígitos ya no
parpadearán.

Work mode. This can be activated (ON) and deactivated (OFF).
Clock. Indicates hour and minutes.
Chronometer. Indicates the time passed since the last activation of the work mode.
Partial distance. Indicates the distance covered since the last activation of the work mode.
Maximum speed obtained since the last activation of the work mode.
Average speed during the last activation of the work mode.
Total distance covered since the equipment was turned on.
Instantaneous speed.

Note: In order to select any of the functions, the motor must remain stopped for ten seconds. A minute after selecting
a function, the screen will turn off automatically. It is activated again by pressing the MODE key or putting on the
motor.

Work mode.

This option is selected by means of the MODE key. By pressing START it goes from the deactivated state (OFF) to the
activated stated (ON) and viceversa.
When it is in the activated mode, the symbol is visualised permanently on the screen. The gathering of data then
begins and the calculations are carried out to obtain the information which is visualised in the function Chronometer,
partial Distance, maximum Speed and average Speed.
When OFF is pressed, the adquisition of data and the calculations are detained, but the calculated values are not lost,
and can be visualised by selecting the corresponding function.
By activating once more the work mode (ON), the values previously stored are wiped out.

Chronometer.

The chronometer visualises the time passed since the last activation of the work mode. Initially, minutes and seconds
are visualised. After an hour has passed, hours and minutes are visualised.

Maximum speed.

This shows the maximum speed reached during the activated work mode.

Average speed.

This shows the average speed reached during the activated work mode.

Total distance.

This visualises the total distance covered since the moment when the equipment was turned on for the first time.
The value accumulated is maintained permanently, even without batteries, and is independent of the condition of the
work mode.

Installation of batteries.

- To replace the batteries, remove the cover of the battery space by unscrewing the two screws at the back of the
multi-function.

- Substitute the old batteries with the new ones, maintaining the same polarity which is indicated on the diagram.

- Finally, screw on the cover again. (Fig. 2)

- If the previous process has been carried out correctly, all the segments and legends of the screen will appear
momentarily. (Fig. 3). After a few seconds, the clock symbol will appear with a reading of zeros (Fig. 4),
disappearing after 10 seconds.

Instantaneous speed.

On turning on the motor, the reading of Km/h. will appear automatically.
While the motor is in operation, the instantaneous speed reading will remain on the screen (Fig. 5).
On detaining the motor, the screen will remain lit up for about ten seconds with the indication of zero Km/h. After this
time, if the motor is not turned on again, the last function previously selected will appear on the screen. The screen will
turn off completely after one minute, if during this time the power has not been turned on again or if a function has
been selected.
While this function is visualised, it is not possible to select any other one.

Setting the time.

Press the MODE key until the clock symbol appears. By pressing the START key, the minute digits and the clock symbol
will flash, indicating that it is in time set mode (Fig. 6).
By pressing lightly on the START key, the minutes indicator will be advanced.
On keeping the same key pressed, the advance will be automatic, being detained on letting go of the key.
On pressing the MODE key, the hour digits will flash, proceeding in the same way as above.
Once the correct values have been selected, press the MODE key to give said values. The digits will
stop flashing.

MANEJO SEGURO DE SU MOTOCICLETA

La conducción segura de una moto no depende sólo de la máquina. Aquí han de intervenir también el racionamiento y la inteligencia del
conductor. por tanto, recomendamos que practique su deporte favorito con el esquipamiento necesario (casco, botas, etc...).

En el interés del desarrollo técnico nos reservamos el derecho a modificar la construcción, la dotación y los accesorios, los datos de medidas,
pesos y potencias se entienden con las respectivas tolerancias.

En función del volumen de equipamiento y de accesorios de su motocicleta, así como de las versiones de exportación, pueden presentarse
variaciones respecto a las descripciones e ilustraciones. Por tal motivo, no podrá derivarse pretención alguna salvo error u omisión.

Riding your motorbike safely does not only depend on the vehicle. The intelligence and the reasoning of the rider must also be considered here.
Therefore, we advice you tho practise your favourite sport with the necessary equipment (helmet, boots, etc.). In the name of technical innovation
we reserve the right to modify the construction, equipment and accessoires of the motorbike.

The data corresponding to measurements, weights and power are considered with the respective tolerance.
Depending on the volume of equipment and accessoires of your motorbike, as well as the version for export, there may be variations from the

pictures and descriptions. As a result, no claim can be considered except by mistike or omission.
