To prevent accidental operation of the selector and Q button during shoot- ing, press MENU/OK until X is displayed. The controls can be unlocked by pressing MENU/OK until X is no longer displayed.

The indicator lamp shows camera status as follows:

The LCD monitor can be reversed for self-portraits (
96) or tilted for ease

of viewing, but be careful that your  n­gers and other objects do not get caught between the monitor and the camera body and avoid touching the wires be­hind the display. Touching the wires could cause camera malfunction.
The LCD monitor also functions as a touch screen (P 14).

Adjusting Display Brightness
Use the items in the A SCREEN SET-UP menu to adjust the brightness and hue of the LCD monitor when changes in am­bient brightness make the display di cult to read. Choose LCD BRIGHTNESS to adjust brightness or LCD COLOR to adjust hue.

Virtual Horizon
Selecting ELECTRONIC LEVEL displays a virtual horizon. The camera is level when the two lines overlap. Note that the virtual horizon may not be displayed if the camera lens is pointed up or down.
