The Forney DR6101E is a microprocessor based, dual-range
flame amplifier. This two-range design allows the DR6101E to independently monitor and
simultaneously process inputs from two detectors (UV and/or IR). Each amplifier pro-
vides a separate flame signal output for each flame detector connected. The DR6101E
is compatible with any two IDD-II, IDD-UV, or UV-4; or one DR 6.1 (a UV and IR in
one package).
The DR6101E measures frequency and amplitude across the entire spec-
trum sensed by the detector(s) and converts input data into an easy-to-read
pulse-per-second output. Flame-on and flame-off setpoints can be precisely
and discretely programmed with Forney’s SMARTDisplay™(a hand-held ter-
minal). The microprocessor within the DR6101E also stores diagnostic infor-
mation and error messages that can be downloaded to the SMARTDisplay.
The Forney DR6101E is available as a panel mount (PM) or rack mount
(RM) amplifier. The DR6101E can be mounted inside a local or remote con-
trol cabinet. Field wiring terminations can be made directly to the removable
card edge connectors.

output of 0-10 vdc, or 4-20 mA are
available for each detector input.

flame-on/flame-off conditions–
unique pulse-per-second output allows
precise tuning and programming to
optimize system performance.
• ELECTRONIC SELF-CHECKING
FUNCTION–
periodically checks the
flame sensor to ensure that detector
circuits respond to an actual loss-of-
flame condition.
• DETECTOR COMPATIBILITY–
with all
versions of IDD-II, IDD-UV, UV-4, and
DR-6.1 detectors. The DR6101E can
replace most previous Forney flame
amplifiers in any application with
complete compatibility.
• LED STATUS DISPLAYS–
indicate
status of amplifier operating functions.
