Situation:
8920A Motherboard assemblies 08920-60128 and 08920-60228 are obsolete and are not
available for replacement. If it becomes necessary to replace one of these assemblies,
additional parts are required to retrofit the replacement Motherboard assembly 08920-
60328.
Solution/Action:
Remove the original motherboard assembly and the RF cover as shown in the disassembly
procedures in the 8920A Assembly Level Repair manual, part number 08920-90036.
Install the replacement motherboard assembly 08920-60328 and the RF cover 08920-
00110. Re-install all semi-rigid and flexible cables in their original locations. In addition,
install semi-rigid jumper 08920-61076 between RF connectors J55 and J56 on the motherboard. Use hex nuts 0535-0109 to secure the jumper to the RF connectors. J54 is not used
for the 8920A.
