CAUTION: Installation and service must be performed by authorized personnel only.

Unless otherwise stated, these instructions apply to both the RGB-DVI 300 and the RGB HDMI 300 (A) video scalers and converters. These instructions provide a quick setup guide for experienced installers.

Step 1 — Power Off

Turn all the equipment off and disconnect all cables.

Step 2 — Mounting

Mount the unit in a convenient location, in a rack, behind a display, under a desk, or through a desk.

Step 3 — Connect Video and Audio Input

Connect an analog RGB or HDTV YUV video input to the 15-pin female VGA connector. Connect an analog audio source to the 3.5 mm TRS connector (RGB-HDMI 300 A only).

Step 4 — Connect Display Device

Connect the unit to a digital display using a HDMI connector for the RGB-HDMI 300 (A) or a DVI-I connector for the RGB DVI 300.

NOTE: The RGB-DVI 300 only outputs a DVI-D signal, although a DVI-I connector is used for greater installation flexibility.

A display is required to control the RGB-DVI 300 or RGB-HDMI 300 (A) using the menu and on screen display.

Step 5 — Connect and Apply Power

Connect the 12 VDC external power supply (provided) to the 3.5 mm, two-pole, captive screw Power input connector. Apply power to the RGB-DVI 300 or RGB-HDMI 300 (A) power supply. Then power on the display and power on the video source.

Step 6 — Configure System

Configure the system via the front panel controls and on-screen display, Simple Instruction Set(SIS) commands, or the Signal Processing Products Control Program. (See the RGB-DVI 300 and RGB-HDMI 300 (A) User Guide for complete instructions.)
