CAPABILITIES
KEEP CONTROL OVER YOUR ONAIR PROGRAM
Based on XT3 audio video channels technology, AirEdit allows to monitor live program feeds at any moment. On-air programs can be kept under control and modified if necessary to cope with the Station or the country’s regulations they are airing their programs to. Fixing operations such as replacing content, insert commercials linked to appropriate regions, can be managed in a second with the timeline editing capabilities.
Local content to be inserted in the incoming feed can be ingested in the EVS server from tapes – using IPDirector’s batch digitizing tools – or from multiformat files that will be conformed on the fly to the playout format.
FULL VIRTUAL CLIPPING & STORYBOARDING
An input channel records the live feed in a permanent loop-mode. Using the intuitive control panel controlling the production servers’ channels, the operator swiftly defines clips to be removed or, with the same ease, inserts pre-recorded material. Time delay is kept constant when replacing commercials of pre-determined durations. Rubber-banding operations are also possible, increasing delay as content is being inserted without removing original. Delay can also be decreased if content is removed without being replaced. An alarm system is available to warn the operator if the delay is becoming too short. A second input is available as an option to ingest newly-produced jingles or commercials, for which frame accurate VTR control is provided.
