GENERAL INFORMATION
The Automatic Load Control Relay (ALCR) is a UL 924 listed
emergency device that is powered from an always-available normal/
emergency source fed by an upstream emergency transfer switch.
The ALCR provides power to emergency lighting load(s) by bypassing
switches or other controls upon loss of utility power and ensuring
a “lights on state” during loss of normal power while tracking the
state of normal lighting loads during normal operation.
In the DIN rail mount model, the ALCR also includes a method
of accomplishing the same emergency functionality for directlycontrolled 0-10V fixtures or ballasts. An integral relay positively
disconnects 0-10V control upon loss of utility power assuring a
“lights-on” override for both line voltage and 0-10V controlled
emergency fixtures.

FUNCTIONAL
• Automatic control of emergency power output to fixture or
single zone emergency lighting upon loss of normal power
• Supports fire alarm input activation of emergency
power output
• Configurable return to normal delay settings of instant, 10
seconds, 30 seconds, 10 minutes, or 15 minutes
• Additional relay cuts 0-10V control loop for guaranteed full-
on operation of 0-10V controlled fixtures
MECHANICAL
• DIN rail mount: 35mm; DIN43880 and EN60715 compliant
• Constructed of UL94 V-0 approved injection-molded ABS
• Remote and status LED’s
• 2 buttons shall be available to select optional return to
normal delay and output test
ELECTRICAL
• 120/277 VAC, 60Hz power input
• Normally closed (NC), 20A ballast, 10A tungsten
• 2 LEDs:
- Status: Red for emergency active or Green for normal
- Remote: Amber for state of normal control switch
• Terminal wire sizing: 10-18 AWG
• Remote activation switch can be located up to 1000 feet
from ALCR

Switch Control Arrangement
