3. Intended use

The light is automatically switched on at darkness and switched out at mor­ning light. The maximum duration of illumination with full accumulator and
without recharge amounts to approx. 10 hours. The solar module installed
in the upper part of the housing charges the integrated accumulator. The
two switches are used in order to switch the light on and off or change bet­ween flashing light and permanent light. The light is suitable for outdoor
use.
Note: Make sure that the lamp is always adjusted to the south and sha­dows are avoided. The product may not be used if adjusted to the north. In
the winter, it is required to keep the solar module free of snow. Due to the
reduced insolation, the duration of illumination will be shorter in winter.

4. Initiation

1. Please carefully take all parts out of the package and completely unroll
the line between solar module and shrub.

2. Insert the ground spike on the bottom of
the solar module and the shrub (illustrati­on 1).

3. Set the rocker switch at the bottom of the
housing into the position “ON”. The light
is now switched-on. The second switch is
used in order to switch between the ope­rating modes “Permanent light” of
“Flashing light” (illustration 2).

Note: The light is switched-off in the position

„OFF“ and the accumulator will not be
recharged.

4. The control unit and the shrub may be
inserted into the ground with the ground
spike.

The initiation is now completed.

Note: The maximum illumination time in
wintertime is normally somewhat reduced.
Should the solar lights not illuminate in the
first evening, wait for a sunny day.

5. Battery replacement

Battery capacity will be lower after one or two years requiring replacement.
The battery is available from the manufacturer and other suppliers. Only
batteries of identical design must be used.

Unscrew the 4 screws on the lower part of the encasement and remove
the cover (illustration 3).

3. Remove the battery from the support.

4. Insert the new battery (ill. 4) ensuring proper polarity. Close the assembly.

Note: Used batteries should be disposed of environmentally friendly, i.e.
not as a part of domestic waste. Return them to the supplier, who is obli­gated by law to take them back.

6. Malfunctions

Lamp is not automatically switched on at darkness

- An outside light source (e.g. streetlight) simulates daylight and prevents the
amp from switching on. Place the lamp at a darker location.

Lamp is not switched on at darkness or only for a short period of time.

- Is the lamp connected?

- Accumulator weak or defective. Exchange of the accumulators.

7. Specifications

- Operating voltage: 1.2 V

- Battery: NiMh 1.2 V/2000 mAh

- Illuminating units: 36 LEDs

- Illumination time: max. 10 h with a full battery

Battery take-back

- Batteries must not be discarded into domestic waste.

- The consumer is legally required to return batteries after use, e.g.
to public collecting centers or to battery distributors.

- Contaminant-containing batteries are labeled with the sign “cros­sed-out trashcan“ and one of the chemical symbols. Used batteries
should be disposed environmentally friendly and should not be dis­carded into domestic waste. Your dealer is legally required to take
back old batteries.

Rechargeable battery notes

- Rechargeable batteries should not be played with by children. Never leave rechar­geable batteries lying around; they could be swallowed by children or pets.

- Rechargeable batteries must never be short-circuited, disassembled or thrown into
fire. This leads to a danger of explosion!

- Leaking or damaged rechargeable batteries can cause chemical burns when they
come into contact with skin. For this reason, please make use of suitable protecti­ve gloves.

- Rechargeable batteries should only be replaced by structurally identical recharge­able batteries from the same manufacturer. Normal batteries must not be used
since these are not rechargeable.

- Make sure the rechargeable batteries are inserted with the correct polarity.

- For long periods of time of non-use (for example, storage), remove the inserted
rechargeable batteries to avoid damages via the leaking rechargeable batteries.

in future, please consider that it contains valuable raw materials suited for recy­cling.
Therefore, do not dispose it of with domestic waste but bring it to a collection
point for the recycling of waste electrical and electronic equipment.
