fastest impact printer. In fact, it’s the fastest impact
printer in its class. Put it to work for you and speed
through continuous forms, labels, checks, greenbar
forms, spreadsheets, envelopes, manufacturing reports,
packing slips and security logs at up to 569 cps in high
speed draft mode.

It’s also one of the most reliable impact printers,
with an MTBF of 10,000 power-on-hours (POH), a print
head life rating of 300 million strokes/wire and a
ribbon life of 7.5 million characters. Combined, they
add up to a workhorse printer you can depend on for
years of rugged, care-free use.

It’s the only printer in its class that can handle up
to 7-part (original +6) forms. It’s also equipped with
front, rear and bottom paper paths. And it even comes
with two tractors. So, unlike its less sophisticated
counterparts, you can load two different forms and
switch between them without ”reloading” the forms
each time. Plus, the zero tear-off paper handling
eliminates wasted paper, saving even more time and
reducing paper costs in the bargain.

The EPSON FX-980 also gets along well with
others—it can be used in multi-platform environments,
features both parallel and serial connectivity standard
and comes complete with a variety of Windows
printer drivers. Add the optional network interface
board to quickly connect it to an Ethernet network or
Type B device.
