Installation

Attaching the Hub Stand

A stabilizing stand has been provided with the hub.
It functions as a “foot” to provide a stable installation
on a desktop or other flat surface.

Connecting Power

Use an AC power adapter (optionally available from
your dealer). The AC power adapter provides a
stable source of power for the hub. This

Caution:

If you are going to supply your own
AC power adapter, carefully read
the input power specification of the
DE-805TP hub. No fus e is pr ovided
to protect the hub from high input
voltage or sudden power surges.
Using the wrong AC power adapter
may cause irreparable damage to
the hub.

Connecting Twisted-Pair Segments

Each of the hub’s five twisted-pair ports can be used
to connect a station or other device. Use a straight­through twisted-pair cable with RJ-45 connectors on
both ends.
