• Store the vacuum cleaner indoors. Put the vacuum cleaner away after use to prevent tripping accidents.
• Using improper voltage may result in damage to the motor and possible injury to the user. Proper voltage is listed on the cleaner plate.

Your cleaner contains a thermal protective device to shut off the motor to avoid overheating. If this happens, turn switch off and unplug the cleaner. Inspect the exhaust, inlet, hose, and filters for any blockage. Empty the dirt container and clean filters. After approximately 30 minutes the motor will have cooled and the vacuum will be ready to use.

To the consumer, Royal Appliance Mfg. Co. warrants this vacuum cleaner to be free of defects in material or workmanship commencing upon the date of the original purchase. Refer to your vacuum cleaner carton for the length of warranty and save your original sales receipt to validate start of warranty period.
If the vacuum cleaner should become defective within the warranty period, we will repair or replace any defective parts free of charge. The complete machine must be delivered prepaid to any ROYAL®Authorized Sales & Warranty Service Station. Please include complete description of the problem, day of purchase, copy of original sales receipt and your name, address and telephone number. If you are not near a Warranty Station, call the factory for assistance at USA & Canada: 1-800-321-1134. Use only genuine Royal®replacement parts.
The warranty does not include unusual wear,damage resulting from accident or unreasonable use of the vacuum cleaner. This warranty does not cover brushes, bags, flat belts, filters and bulbs. This warranty does not cover unauthorized repairs. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights (Other rights may vary from state to state in the USA).

Remove dirt container from body of cleaner.
Slide handle into hole on top of cleaner.
Insert screw through hole (located under tool caddy) on back of cleaner (Diagram 3). Place bolt onto end of screw coming through back panel and tighten to secure handle (Diagram 3a).

Wrap hose around back of hose caddy (Diagram 4). Push hose wand down into the right side of cleaner (Diagram 4a).
Attach crevice tool and dust brush to tool caddy.
Replace dirt container by tilting back until it snaps into place.

NOTE: For best performance, replace filter yearly. Please use reminder label located on filter cap to record replacement date.

Hold dirt container over garbage can and press clean release dirt container button to empty. Make sure container bottom center opening is clear of debris. Snap dirt container bottom back into place after emptying.

Twist and lift to remove dirt container lid.

Insert screen back into dirt container.
*Regular Maintenance: Each time the dirt container is emptied, the pleated filter should be cleaned. Tap the lid firmly against the inside of a trash can until the dirt stops falling from the filter. (Filter will be discolored after use, this will not affect the filter’s performance.) Do not brush the filter. The cleaning instructions may vary depending on the dirt conditions. In some cases, more or less cleaning of the filter may be required. It is recommended that
the filter be replaced once per year.

Replace filter in dirt container (Diagram 7). Align tabs on lid with the openings on the dirt container and twist to close and secure lid (Diagram 7a).

Hold the dirt container and grasp the top of the filter. Pull the filter up and out (Diagram 4). Tap the filter on the inside of a garbage can to remove excess dust and dirt from filter. DO NOT APPLY WATER TO PLEATED FILTER!

Grasp top of filter screen and lift out of dirt container (Diagram 5). Tap screen on the inside of a garbage can to remove dust and debris (Diagram 5a).

Lay cleaner flat and flip cleaner to expose nozzle base. Base should lay flat and face up. To remove nozzle guard, use Phillips screwdriver to remove the six (6) screws. Arrows show location of screws.
Flip cleaner right side up and lift off nozzle guard.

Lift and remove brushroll. Dispose of old belt.

With new belt in place, pull and slide brushroll into nozzle making sure that the brushroll end cap on the right side is in the correct orientation (6a inset). Rotate brushroll manually to make sure belt is properly aligned.

Reattach nozzle guard by firmly pushing down until it snaps into place.
Flip cleaner back over and replace all six (6) screws.
HOSE AND TOOL USAGE
CAUTION: Do not lift unit from floor to use hose, loose items may become entangled in the rotating brushroll
TO USE HOSE AND ATTACHMENTS

Remove the hose from hose caddy.
2.
Choose any of the handy accessories or use the hose alone.

Simply push the attachment firmly onto the hose end. To remove tool, twist and pull apart gently.
