1) Additional explanation for "Dolby Digital EX"
Dolby Digital EX Dolby Digital EX is a 6.1-channel surround format proposed by
Dolby Laboratories that allows users to enjoy in their homes the "DOLBY
DIGITAL SURROUND EX" audio format jointly developed by Dolby Laboratories
and Lucas Films. The 6.1 channels of sound, including surround back channels,
provide improved sound positioning and expression of space.
2) Additional Surround Modes and Parameters for "Dolby Digital EX" MULTI In +
Dolby EX (PCM Multi Channel In + Dolby EX) M DIRECT + Dolby EX (PCM Multi
Channel In, Direct + Dolby EX) M PURE D + Dolby EX (PCM Multi Channel In,
Pure Direct + Dolby EX)
NOTE: This mode is not available when the surround back speaker setup is set
to “None”.
